Disneyland Paris Resort's most loyal visitors are feeling the sting of a policy decision that proved both restrictive and contradictory. Frustration is building among Annual Passholders after the European Disney park refused to honor their merchandise discount, but offered all guests even higher savings on souvenirs.
The Annual Passholder Discount That Was Taken Away

When Disneyland Paris Resort opened its reimagined second theme park, Disney Adventure World, on March 29, the European vacation destination made a decision: Annual Passholder merchandise discounts would not apply to Disney Adventure World-specific items. The standard Annual Passholder benefit typically saves visitors 10-15% on merchandise, depending on their pass tier, but Disneyland Paris Resort suspended that perk for souvenirs at the new park.
While the restriction seemed reasonable at first for a brand-new theme park filled with desirable new souvenirs, a recent decision has left Annual Passholders at Disneyland Paris Resort frustrated.
The Sale That Changed Everything

On August 9, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared photos of promotional signage inside a Disney Adventure World gift shop offering between 34 and 50 percent off select merchandise — savings that dwarfed what the suspended Annual Passholder discount would have provided, and available to any guest regardless of pass status.
Disneyland Paris refuses to give a discount for DAW merchandise to Annual Passholders who paid for an Annual Pass specifically to benefit from perks such as merchandise discounts, while now, everyone is getting a discount anyway… #disneylandparis #disneyparks

The logic gap is hard to dismiss. Disneyland Paris Resort declined to offer its most committed visitors a 10 to 15% discount while simultaneously slashing prices by up to 50% for the general public. The Annual Passholder discount almost certainly would not have stacked with the promotional pricing — but that's beside the point.
@Cesarbluez added to the growing chorus of dissatisfied Annual Passholders:
Welcome to DLP where They dont care if Annual pass holders get benefits but their Numbers $$$$

Annual Passholders at Disneyland Paris Resort remain ineligible for discounts on Disney Adventure World merchandise at the time of this report. Disneyland Paris Resort has not issued any statement addressing the situation.
