Four original ticket booths near the entrance to Disneyland Park are officially gone, as Disneyland Resort completes a demolition project that began earlier this month.
The Path to Demolition
Disneyland Resort filed a construction permit earlier in August to remove four ticket booths located in the Esplanade between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Within days, crews had erected plywood barriers around the structures, and heavy equipment began arriving on site.
The demolition clears the way for a pedestrian bridge that will eventually connect to a new parking structure and transportation hub — a project Disney broke ground on just days earlier. Once complete, the garage will offer 6,000 parking spaces, 302 EV charging stations, a dedicated security office, and a hub for rideshare and shuttle service, all accessible via a designated road off Disney Way.
Disney hasn't announced when the new parking structure will open, but it represents the first major milestone in the larger DisneylandForward expansion. The added parking and transportation infrastructure is designed to support growing crowds as Disney moves forward with a Tomorrowland overhaul at Disneyland Park and new attractions at Disney California Adventure Park themed to Coco (2017), Avatar (2009), and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
For guests who still prefer buying tickets face-to-face, two ticket booths remain in operation, along with the option to purchase admission at the Lost & Found Office.
Demolition Complete
WDWNT reported on August 31 that crews had finished tearing down all four ticket booths near the Disneyland Park entrance. Photos shared by the outlet show rubble from the demolition, though it's only partially visible above the surrounding construction walls.
It remains unclear whether Disneyland Resort plans to leave the cleared space open temporarily or move straight into building the new pedestrian bridge on the site of the former booths.
