The Toy Story Land roller coaster has been unavailable since August 31, keeping one of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ most popular attractions closed for multiple complete operating days.

The company also hasn't given guests a reopening timeline, leaving plenty of questions about why a closure that initially could have been temporary has continued for this long.
But a new development inside the attraction could offer an important clue.

The shutdown then continued into September 2, bringing Slinky Dog Dash to three consecutive days without operating.
That's unusual enough to get attention.
Temporary downtime is a normal reality for complicated theme park attractions. A ride can stop unexpectedly and return hours later without Disney ever publicly explaining exactly what happened.

BlogMickey spotted a Slinky Dog Dash ride vehicle sitting around the second launch.
It wasn't simply parked in a location where guests would normally expect to see a vehicle.
The train was reportedly stopped farther back in the launch area than its normal position.
That could be consistent with an emergency stop.
An E-stop allows a ride system to halt operation when a fault is detected. Depending on where the vehicle is when that happens, it can stop in an unusual position on the track.
However, there is no confirmation that an E-stop actually occurred.
There also isn't enough information to determine what type of fault could have caused the vehicle to stop.
Still, another detail near the train has made the situation even more intriguing.
