Universal Orlando Locks In Rock the Universe 2027 Dates, Confirms Massive Star Lineup

January is already shaping up to be a busy month at Universal Orlando Resort, especially for guests who want more than a regular theme park day.

Universal has confirmed the 2027 return of Rock the Universe, bringing its annual Christian music festival back to Universal Studios Florida. The weekend will feature two nights of concerts, opportunities to enjoy theme park attractions, and a worship service to close out the festivities.

Universal isn’t holding back on performers, either. A total of 18 artists have been announced across two completely different nightly lineups.

For fans considering a trip to Universal Orlando early next year, there are now several important dates to note.

Two Nights Are Set for January 2027

Rock the Universe will return on Friday, January 22, and Saturday, January 23, 2027.

Rather than using the same group of performers both evenings, Universal has divided 18 artists between the two nights. Nine will perform on Friday, followed by another nine on Saturday.

That setup gives guests options when planning their visit. Someone interested in only one lineup can attend for a single night, while fans wanting the complete concert experience can make a weekend out of it.

Before getting into who will perform, it’s worth looking at what makes Rock the Universe different from a standard concert.

Rock the Universe Takes Over Universal Studios Florida

Rock the Universe is Universal Orlando Resort’s annual Christian music festival, combining live performances and worship experiences with time inside Universal Studios Florida.

Concerts are a major part of the event, but guests aren’t limited to standing in front of a stage all evening. They can also experience rides and attractions available during the event.

That creates a different setup from attending a traditional concert at a single venue. Guests can catch multiple artists while also spending part of their evening enjoying the theme park.

And with nine performers scheduled for each concert night in 2027, there will be plenty of music packed into the weekend.

Friday Starts With Nine Performers

The first night arrives Friday, January 22, with Elevation Worship included in the opening-night lineup.

Benjamin William Hastings, 1K Phew, and Jamie MacDonald will also perform on Friday. Universal has also scheduled Rave Jesus and Strings & Heart for the first evening.

Joseph O’Brien, John Allan, and Maddi Jane complete the nine-artist Friday roster.

That lineup gives guests plenty to see during the first night, but anyone attending Saturday will find an entirely new group taking over the event.

Nine More Artists Take Over Saturday

Rock the Universe continues Saturday, January 23, with Josiah Queen among the artists scheduled to perform.

Katy Nichole and CAIN will also take the stage, along with Franni Cash. Megan Woods and gio. are part of the second-night schedule as well.

Universal rounds out Saturday’s lineup with Torey D’Shaun, Sam Wesley, and Peter Burton.

That brings the weekend total to 18 announced performers. Since none of Friday’s announced artists repeat Saturday, guests attending both nights will have two different concert lineups to experience.

However, Saturday night won’t mark the end of Rock the Universe.

The Weekend Continues Sunday Morning

After two nights of concerts, Universal will bring attendees together one more time on Sunday morning.

Rock the Universe will conclude with a non-denominational worship service, wrapping up a weekend built around Christian music, worship, and theme park experiences.

Guests interested in attending will soon be able to start locking in their plans.

Tickets and vacation packages for the 2027 event are scheduled to go on sale September 15.

Universal will offer single-night tickets, giving guests the option to attend either Friday or Saturday. For visitors who want to make the most of the weekend, another ticket option will be available.

Guests Can Choose the Full Weekend

Universal will once again offer its “Rock Your Weekend” ticket for Rock the Universe.

Rather than limiting guests to one concert night, that option includes access to the full weekend of Rock the Universe activities along with theme park access.

That could appeal to fans who want to see all 18 announced artists rather than choosing between the Friday and Saturday rosters.

With January 22 and 23 confirmed, the performers announced, and tickets going on sale September 15, the major pieces of Rock the Universe 2027 are now falling into place.

Guests can choose one evening or build a larger Universal Orlando visit around the event. Either way, two packed nights of performances followed by a Sunday worship service will give Rock the Universe fans plenty to look forward to in early 2027.
