The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival runs March 10 through May 31, 2027. Eleven weeks.
Some context.
Look, I will happily defend this take. Flower and Garden is the best festival Disney runs.
Not the most popular. Food and Wine takes that one easily, and it is not close. Bigger crowds, longer run, deeper menu, thirty years of history stacked behind it.
But “popular” and “best” are two completely different arguments.
Here is the case. Flower and Garden is the only EPCOT festival that changes what the park physically looks like.
Food and Wine adds booths. Festival of the Arts adds galleries and murals. The Festival of the Holidays adds lights and storytellers. Every one of those gets layered on top of the park.
Flower and Garden transforms the park itself. Topiaries go up across every neighborhood. Beds get completely replanted. Entire sightlines change color. Walk into EPCOT in April, and you are standing somewhere genuinely different from the place you visited in October.
Only done Food and Wine? Then you have never actually seen EPCOT at its best.
The Topiaries Carry It
Those living sculptures from Disney's horticulture teams are the headline, and they earn it.
Disney characters built into elaborate topiaries across:
- World Celebration
- World Discovery
- World Nature
- The World Showcase pavilions
And these are not decorations shoved into corners. They are placed as focal points all over the park, which is exactly why this festival reshapes how EPCOT feels instead of just handing you another thing to do.
Curated global gardens sit alongside them, highlighting sustainable growing techniques, exotic blooms, and seasonal flora from around the world.
That educational layer is easy to walk past and genuinely worth slowing down for. Honestly, the sustainability displays fit EPCOT's original mission better than most of what the park currently offers.
The Outdoor Kitchens
Back with a fresh menu of spring-inspired dishes and drinks.
Scattered throughout the park, built around fresh seasonal ingredients. Savory garden-fresh bites on one end, sweet fruit-forward desserts on the other.
The difference between this food and Food and Wine food is real, by the way. Flower and Garden runs lighter, brighter, way more produce-driven. Food and Wine goes rich and heavy and keeps going.

Garden Rocks Is Back
Live music returns to the America Gardens Theatre with the Garden Rocks Concert Series.
Running the whole festival, mixing internationally recognized artists with beloved local bands.
Garden Rocks Dining Packages return, too, pairing a meal at select EPCOT restaurants with reserved seating for a show.
Know about those early. Garden Rocks seating disappears fast for the bigger acts, and a dining package is the only reliable way to guarantee a spot without camping out at the theatre.
Bring the Kids
Two returning things make this festival unusually strong for families.
Spike's Pollen-Nation Exploration is back. Park-wide scavenger hunt following Spike the Bee along his pollination trail to a prize at the end.
The walkthrough butterfly house returns as well, giving guests a close-up look at the butterfly lifecycle inside a lush enclosed habitat.
That butterfly house is one of the most underrated things at any EPCOT festival. Free to walk through, shaded, and for little kids it is very often the memory that outlasts everything else on the trip.
When You Should Actually Go
Some notes on that March 10 through May 31 window.
Mid-March through early April will be the busiest. Spring break and Easter travel, both landing at once.
Late April and May is the sweet spot. Topiaries are fully established, plantings are filled all the way in, crowds are thinning out after Easter, and the weather has not turned brutal yet.
