One of Disney's Animal Kingdom's most talked-about snacks is changing its colors for the season.
Beginning October 1, 2026, the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich at Terra Treats will arrive in a fall-themed version. The core build stays the same: vanilla ice cream pressed between a layer of edible cookie dough loaded with chocolate chips and sprinkles and a slab of chocolate brownie. The change is in the sprinkles, which will now come in autumn shades of red, orange, yellow, and green.

A Snack With a Track Record
Disney World has produced plenty of social media food moments over the years, from the pickle shake to the cheeseburger spring rolls. The Terra Treats sandwich earned its own spot on that list after it spread quickly among guests online. Expect the seasonal version to follow the same path, with influencers lining up to photograph and review it as soon as it launches.
Animal Kingdom's Bigger Picture
Animal Kingdom is typically the quietest of Disney World's four theme parks, but it has built its identity around celebrating world cultures through both its food and its animal encounters. That identity is set to expand. The Tropical Americas land will replace DinoLand U.S.A. and bring two new headline experiences, one based on 2021's Encanto and another built around the Indiana Jones franchise. New dining and shopping locations are also planned for the land.
How Long Will It Last?
Disney has not said how long the fall sandwich will stay on the menu. Given the seasonal theme, it will most likely be swapped out once the winter and Christmas season rolls in later this year. If you are visiting Animal Kingdom between October and the start of the holidays, Terra Treats is worth a stop. Plan on the item disappearing once festive menus take over.
