Another experience has disappeared from Disney Springs, and Disney’s latest move raises new questions about whether it will ever return.
The face painting and temporary tattoo kiosk outside Marketplace Co-Op has closed, leaving the once-active location covered by curtains. Nearby signs have also been removed.
Now, Disney has taken another step by removing the experience’s official webpage from the Walt Disney World website.
Disney Springs Kiosk Closes
The face painting and temporary tattoo kiosk gave Disney Springs visitors another entertainment option while exploring the Marketplace.
That experience is no longer operating.
The kiosk has been covered with curtains, while signs around the location have disappeared. Disney has not installed construction walls or planters around the area, making it unclear what exactly is happening behind the closure.
Cast Members reportedly did not know why the location closed or whether Disney intends to bring it back.
There also wasn’t a replacement face painting location operating elsewhere at Disney Springs during the latest visit.
While that left the possibility of a temporary closure, Disney has now made a change online that makes the situation more interesting.
Disney Removes Official Webpage
The dedicated Disney Springs face painting page has disappeared from the official Walt Disney World website.
Disney has not announced that the experience is permanently closed, so it is important not to take the webpage removal as confirmation that face painting will never return.
Still, the combination of changes is significant.
The kiosk is closed, nearby signs have been removed, and its official Disney webpage is gone. There is also no announced reopening date.
One possible explanation could involve work happening nearby.
The kiosk was located outside Marketplace Co-Op near Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop, which is undergoing a major refurbishment. The closure could potentially be connected to that project.
Disney could also be preparing refurbishment work around the kiosk or Marketplace Co-Op. The interior of Marketplace Co-Op has already received new flooring.
For now, Disney hasn’t revealed what comes next.
Face painting could eventually return to its old location or move somewhere else at Disney Springs. Until Disney provides more information, however, guests shouldn’t expect to find the experience during their next visit.
