Families visiting Magic Kingdom have one less construction zone to navigate this October.
Disney has finished a project that remained behind barriers for months, officially opening the completed space to guests on October 1.
The change isn't tied to a new attraction, restaurant, or character experience. Instead, Disney has created something specifically useful for guests visiting its flagship Orlando theme park with small children.
Disney Finally Opens the Finished Area
The project created a new stroller parking area beside The Crystal Palace.
Located to the right of the restaurant, the space gives families another designated location to leave their strollers while spending time in this busy section of Magic Kingdom.

The opening comes after more than two months of work.
Construction walls went up in late July, and Disney continued transforming the area during August. Crews installed a new curb and pavement as part of the project.
Guests will notice that the completed space doesn't perfectly match the pavement immediately outside The Crystal Palace. Disney used brighter beige pavement for the stroller parking area, making the new section fairly easy to identify.
More recently, there were signs that the project was nearing completion.
By September 28, the construction walls had come down. Disney still used rolling planters to prevent guests from entering the space, but those temporary barriers didn't last much longer.
The area officially opened October 1.
A Practical Addition for Magic Kingdom
Disney World guests traveling with young children quickly learn how important stroller parking can become.
Families may spend an entire day moving between attractions, restaurants, shops, and entertainment while pushing a stroller through some of Magic Kingdom's busiest walkways. Having designated places to park those strollers helps organize areas where crowds can quickly build.
The Crystal Palace's location makes that especially important. The restaurant sits near the hub and Main Street, U.S.A., putting it close to some heavily traveled sections of the park.
Meanwhile, construction remains a major part of the Magic Kingdom experience elsewhere.
Work continues on major projects including Piston Peak National Park, while Carousel of Progress and the Walt Disney World Railroad are currently unavailable.
Those projects will take considerably longer to complete.
For now, however, Disney can cross one project off its list. After months behind construction walls and temporary barriers, the new Crystal Palace stroller parking area is officially open for families.
