Universal Orlando Resort's holiday season is approaching fast, and guests hoping to enjoy one of its most popular seasonal experiences could soon find themselves competing for limited reservations.
While the resort has already announced its Christmas celebration dates, one highly anticipated offering remains without an official booking window. However, previous years suggest that could change within days.
And for families planning a holiday vacation, waiting too long could mean missing out entirely.
Universal Orlando's Grinch Breakfast Reservations Expected Soon
The Grinch and Friends Character Breakfast is expected to return to Universal's Islands of Adventure for the 2026 holiday season.
Traditionally held at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous in Seuss Landing, the experience allows families to enjoy breakfast while meeting the Grinch and other characters from Whoville.
Unlike the regular Grinch meet-and-greet, this experience requires advance reservations, which have historically sold out quickly.
Last year, Universal opened reservations on October 8, 2025.
With October 8, 2026, already here, guests could see this year's reservations become available at any moment, potentially next week.
Universal has not confirmed an official booking date, and there is no announced October deadline. However, families hoping to attend should prepare for a competitive reservation window.
How Much Will the Experience Cost?
Universal has not announced pricing for the 2026 Grinch Breakfast.
During the previous holiday season, adults ages 10 and older paid $58.99, while children ages 3 through 9 cost $32.99, before taxes.
That brought the total for a family of four with two younger children to approximately $184 before taxes.
The experience included breakfast, beverages, sweet treats, and character interactions.
Guests also needed valid admission to Islands of Adventure, meaning the breakfast reservation did not include theme park entry.
Although prices could change this year, the experience remains an additional expense for families already budgeting for a Universal Orlando vacation.
Universal's Holiday Season Begins November 14
The reservation rush comes as Universal Orlando prepares for its annual Christmas festivities, scheduled for November 14, 2026, through January 3, 2027.
Grinchmas will return to Islands of Adventure, featuring the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular and seasonal character encounters.
Universal Studios Florida will welcome back Universal's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's, while The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will feature festive entertainment and decorations.
Universal Epic Universe will also participate in the celebrations, bringing holiday touches to several themed lands.
Most seasonal entertainment is included with regular park admission, but the Grinch Breakfast requires an additional purchase.
