Christmas has arrived a little earlier than expected at Universal Orlando Resort, and some guests are already getting a taste of the holiday season.
Halloween Horror Nights is still bringing crowds to the resort, but Universal isn't waiting for the spooky festivities to end before preparing for what's next.
With November right around the corner, the theme parks are beginning their transition toward Christmas, even though the official celebration doesn't start until November 14.
Visitors exploring Universal's Islands of Adventure have already noticed several festive additions in places that might catch some people off guard.
And with Halloween decorations and merchandise still around, the resort is currently offering an unusual mix of both holidays.
Universal Begins Christmas Preparations Ahead of Schedule
Universal Orlando has started installing Christmas decorations at Islands of Adventure, giving guests an early look at the resort's holiday preparations.
One location already receiving attention is Burger Digs, the quick-service restaurant located in Jurassic Park.
Guests have reported spotting green garlands hanging above the restaurant's menu displays inside the dining area.
Rather than featuring traditional red and silver decorations, the garlands include ornaments in orange, brown, and green.
Those colors blend with the Jurassic Park setting while still bringing a festive look to the restaurant.
It's not a massive transformation, but it's enough for visitors to notice that Christmas preparations have begun.
Burger Digs regularly welcomes families and other parkgoers looking for a quick meal while exploring the dinosaur-themed land.
Now, guests stopping inside might notice a little Christmas cheer mixed into their Jurassic Park experience.
And while this is one of the first reported locations to receive decorations, Universal has already started bringing the holiday spirit to another part of Islands of Adventure.

Christmas Trees Arrive While Halloween Merchandise Remains
The holiday preparations aren't limited to Jurassic Park.
Across Islands of Adventure, Toon Lagoon has also started welcoming Christmas decorations, including several trees inside a popular merchandise location.
According to guest reports, Toon Extra, located across from Comic Strip Cafe, now has two Christmas trees displayed near the front of the store.
The trees sit around the entrances and front windows, featuring ornaments in green, purple, and gold.
However, visitors might notice something else while checking out the decorations.
Some of the Christmas trees stand near mannequins that are still dressed in Halloween merchandise.
That creates an interesting scene for anyone walking through the store, with two different holiday celebrations sharing the same space.
It's a reminder that Halloween Horror Nights hasn't finished its run, even as Universal begins preparing for Christmas.
The resort appears to be getting smaller decorating projects out of the way before the larger seasonal transformation begins.
And with several weeks remaining until the official holiday kickoff, more decorations could start appearing throughout the parks.

What Universal Orlando Has Planned for Christmas
While some Christmas decorations are already on display, Universal Orlando Resort's holiday celebration officially begins November 14.
The resort has several returning experiences planned, giving visitors plenty to enjoy once the festivities get underway.
At Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's will return with oversized balloons, colorful floats, holiday characters, and Christmas music.
Meanwhile, Islands of Adventure will bring back The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular.

The popular live production takes place in Seuss Landing and retells the classic Dr. Seuss Christmas story, complete with the Grinch and music recorded by Mannheim Steamroller.
Guests can also experience Universal Holiday Tour, which offers another way to enjoy select seasonal entertainment and activities.
Earl the Squirrel will also be part of the holiday celebration, continuing his role as one of Universal Orlando's familiar Christmas characters.
Beyond those experiences, visitors can expect holiday merchandise, seasonal food and drinks, and Christmas decorations throughout Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and other areas of the resort.
All of these offerings will help turn Universal Orlando into a Christmas destination once November 14 arrives.

More Holiday Changes Are Likely Coming
Universal Orlando may still be celebrating Halloween, but the early decorations suggest Christmas preparations are already underway.
From the colorful garlands at Burger Digs to the decorated trees inside Toon Extra, guests are getting an early preview of the upcoming holiday season.
The combination of Halloween merchandise and Christmas decorations is particularly interesting, especially for visitors who enjoy seeing how the parks prepare for seasonal events.
And with the official festivities still weeks away, these additions probably won't be the last.
More Christmas decorations could appear as Universal gets closer to November 14.
For now, guests visiting Islands of Adventure can experience a little bit of Halloween and Christmas during the same trip, even before Universal's holiday celebration officially begins.
