Christmas is coming to Universal Orlando Resort, and the company has some big plans for the 2026 holiday season.
On October 19, Universal released additional information about its upcoming celebrations, confirming returning shows, character experiences, seasonal food, and holiday decorations across the resort.

From the return of Grinchmas to Christmas celebrations at Epic Universe, Universal is preparing for another busy holiday season.
However, something was missing from the announcement.
Despite revealing several experiences involving the Grinch, Universal didn't confirm whether its popular Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast will return.
And for families who have been waiting to make reservations, that omission could be a frustrating development.
Universal Announces Major Christmas Offerings
Universal Orlando's holiday celebrations officially begin November 14 and run through January 3, 2027.
At Islands of Adventure, Seuss Landing will once again host Grinchmas, complete with appearances by the Grinch and the Whos.
The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular will return with multiple performances throughout the day, giving guests several opportunities to enjoy the popular Christmas production.
Universal also confirmed that the Who-ville tree lot will return.

Elsewhere, guests can enjoy The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle, holiday music from the Frog Choir, and seasonal decorations throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
At Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's will return, along with Earl the Squirrel and the Holiday Tribute Store.
Epic Universe will also receive festive additions, including decorations and seasonal food offerings at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.
But while Universal provided plenty of information about its holiday lineup, there was no announcement about the Grinch Breakfast.
Guests Are Still Waiting for Breakfast Reservations
The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast isn't an ordinary theme park dining experience.
Traditionally offered at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous, the breakfast allows families to enjoy themed food while meeting the Grinch and other characters from Whoville.
Because the experience requires a separate reservation and has limited seating, guests often plan ahead to secure their preferred dates.
Last year, reservations opened October 8.
However, October 8 has already passed this year, and Universal's October 19 announcement didn't provide a new booking date.

The resort also hasn't confirmed how much the breakfast would cost if it returns.
In 2025, adult tickets cost $58.99 plus tax, while children's tickets cost $32.99 plus tax.
Guests also needed valid admission to Islands of Adventure.
Interestingly, Universal's website still features a menu for the character breakfast.
Among the listed offerings are green Grinch pancakes, chicken and waffles, Green Eggs & Ham, and several breakfast choices for younger guests.
Still, that menu isn't confirmation of a 2026 return.
The page doesn't establish whether reservations will open or whether the experience will operate during this year's holiday season.
Universal Confirms a Different Grinch Experience
While the breakfast's future remains uncertain, Universal has confirmed another opportunity for families to meet the Grinch.
The Universal Holiday Tour is returning, with tickets starting at $69.99 per person.
The guided experience lasts approximately two and a half hours and includes character encounters with the Grinch, Max, and Santa Claus.
Guests also receive reserved seating for the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular.
Unlike the breakfast, Universal has already opened reservations for the Holiday Tour.
That difference is particularly interesting considering how much information the resort released about its other holiday offerings.
However, there's no indication that the tour is intended to replace the breakfast.
The two experiences have traditionally offered different ways for guests to celebrate Christmas with the Grinch.
Is the Grinch Breakfast Gone for 2026?
For now, there's no official answer.
Universal Orlando has not announced that the Grinch Breakfast has been discontinued, but it also hasn't confirmed the experience for 2026.
It's possible that additional information will arrive before the holiday season begins.
Guests interested in attending should continue checking Universal's official website for reservation updates rather than assuming the breakfast will follow last year's schedule.

The good news is that Grinchmas itself is definitely returning, and visitors will still have opportunities to meet the Grinch during their Christmas vacations.
Whether they'll be able to sit down and enjoy breakfast with him is another story.
With November 14 approaching, fans are running out of time to make their holiday dining plans, and Universal has yet to answer one of the biggest remaining questions about its Christmas lineup.
