Universal Orlando Resort is preparing to shut down a popular attraction, and visitors have less than 24 hours before the closure officially takes effect.
The upcoming shutdown could disrupt plans for families hoping to experience everything The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has to offer, particularly those who purchased upgraded tickets.
While Universal has already confirmed when the attraction is expected to reopen, the interruption could still create problems for visitors arriving at the resort this week.
And with November 4 approaching, there's little time left for guests to adjust their plans.

Universal Orlando Confirms Harry Potter Attraction Closing November 4
Universal Orlando has officially confirmed that Hogwarts Express will temporarily close on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
The attraction is currently scheduled to reopen on Thursday, November 5, making this a planned one-day interruption.
That means Tuesday, November 3, is the final scheduled operating day before the shutdown.
Hogwarts Express is among Universal Orlando's most recognizable Harry Potter experiences, connecting Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure with King's Cross Station near Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida.
Unlike a traditional transportation system, the train recreates the magical journey featured throughout the Harry Potter stories.
Visitors board at one station and travel to the other while experiencing themed scenes featuring familiar characters.
The experience also changes depending on which direction guests travel, giving fans a reason to ride more than once.
However, that journey will be unavailable tomorrow if Universal proceeds with its announced closure.
Universal has not provided a detailed public explanation for the interruption.
Harry Potter Closure Creates Problems for Park-to-Park Ticket Holders
One of the biggest complications involves Universal Orlando's admission requirements.
Guests must purchase Park-to-Park admission to experience Hogwarts Express, since the train travels between two separately ticketed theme parks.
For some families, riding Hogwarts Express is a major reason to spend extra money on that ticket option.
However, visitors arriving November 4 will not be able to experience the attraction during its scheduled closure.
They can still travel between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure using the regular park entrances, provided their admission includes both parks.
But walking between the parks isn't quite the same as boarding the Hogwarts Express.
The train is particularly popular with first-time visitors who want to experience the complete Wizarding World adventure.
Fortunately, other Harry Potter attractions are not part of this announced closure.

Visitors can still plan to experience Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, and Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, subject to normal operations.
When Will Hogwarts Express Reopen?
Universal Orlando currently expects Hogwarts Express to resume operations on Thursday, November 5.
That would make the interruption relatively brief compared to the extended refurbishments sometimes seen throughout the resort.
Still, reopening dates can change, and visitors should check Universal's official attraction information before arriving.
The closure also comes as Universal continues operating three separate Wizarding World locations following Epic Universe's May 2025 opening.
However, Hogwarts Express only connects Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. It does not provide transportation to Epic Universe.
For families visiting November 4, the best option may be to rearrange their schedule and experience the train on another day.
Those with only one day at the resort may not have that flexibility.
Although the shutdown is expected to last just 24 hours, its timing could make a significant difference for Harry Potter fans who specifically planned their visit around this experience.
