5. Typhoon Lagoon
After months of refurbishment, Typhoon Lagoon is open once again, with a brand new family raft ride, aptly named “Miss Fortune Falls”. This exciting new 2-minute ride experience featuring rushing rapids, enclosed slide flumes, and treasures around every twist is also the longest raft attraction in all of Walt Disney World. Disney imagineers have also added an audio-animatronic parrot to add to your adventure. Typhoon Lagoon opened at Disney World on June 1, 1989, and since that time has been a splashing success, and is home to one of the world’s largest outdoor wave pools. With this new addition, it will most likely become even more popular.
