How Hollywood Studios Park is changing in 2019

4.  Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Arriving in the fall of 2019, this new attraction will be utilizing the newest version of trackless technology.  Guests will board a 16-passenger train, which consists of four separate cars that hold four guests each (two rows of two), with Goofy at the helm.  The four-car train can separate at any time, offering a unique ride path for every car, and with Goofy piloting the train, who knows what can happen.  The train cars can separate and come back together at various points in the ride. Personally, I can’t wait to experience this magical Mickey and Minnie adventure.

5.  “Star Wars” Galaxy’s Edge

Imagine yourself in a galaxy far, far away where you have just landed on the Planet, Batuu, a remote outpost planet on the edge of the galaxy’s Outer Rim Territories.  This venture of Disney’s imagination team is a triumph of the combination of Magic and futuristic technology.  This is the largest expansion of Hollywood Studios since its opening in 1989, encompassing a impressive 14 acres.  The lengths Disney has gone through to make this a first-of-its-kind theme park is outstanding!  The inhabitants, humanoids, aliens, and droids, the attractions, the entertainment, will be a part of the storytelling.  Nothing or no one will be out of character or stray from the mythology. As a visitor, guests will be immersed in the reality of Bantuu, and while strolling through the shops and restaurants, every cast member will be in charactere as residents and merchants of Bantuu.  Welcome to outer space!

6.  “Star Wars”—Millennium Falcon attraction

A dynamic virtual ride which will put multiple guests into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, where they will each have a specific job during a mission. The outcome of the ride’s events and performance of the guests will give them a reputation that will affect other experiences within the Galaxy’s Edge beyond the ride itself.

Cecilia

I am a working mother of four adult children, 2 granddogs, and one grandcat. I have been a Disney fanatic since 1959, when my parents took my sister and I on a journey across the country to Disneyland. Needless to say, we were thrilled, and this became our vacation destination for the next 10 years. Later, when Walt Disney World was opened, we travelled to Florida and discovered a whole new Disney experience, and WDW became our new vacation destination. Now, our extended family members are all Disney Fanatics and always ready to talk about anything Disney.
