A Mystery Curtain Just Came Down at Disney and What Is Behind It Has Fans Talking

There has been a curtain up at the Port of Entry in EPCOT for weeks. Guests walking through the retail space at the start of World Showcase noticed it, wondered about it, and kept moving because there was a park to get to. This week, the curtain came down, and what was behind it is now open for business.

A brand new Pandora charm counter just debuted inside Port of Entry, and it is one of the more thoughtfully executed additions to this corner of EPCOT in recent memory.

What Got Built

The Pandora counter sits in the space that previously functioned as a standard checkout area within Port of Entry. That checkout function is gone, replaced by a counter that brings a genuinely different aesthetic to the corner it occupies. The front of the counter and the area behind it feature prominent wood tones that give the installation a warm, natural feel within the surrounding retail environment. A World Showcase medallion is placed at the center of a checkered design on the counter surface, a detail that ties the Pandora installation directly to EPCOT's identity rather than letting it feel like a generic branded insert dropped into an existing space.

The rest of Port of Entry continues operating as it always has around the new counter. Nothing about the broader retail experience in the shop has changed, only the specific corner that previously served a checkout function has been transformed.

What the Counter Actually Offers

This is not a standalone Pandora store and guests should not arrive expecting the full product range that the dedicated Pandora locations elsewhere on Walt Disney World property carry. The Port of Entry counter is primarily a charm counter, focused on charms and the accessories that accompany them.

For Pandora collectors visiting EPCOT, the charm counter format in this location is close to ideal. Port of Entry sits at the very beginning of the World Showcase experience, which means guests can browse and purchase charms before a single pavilion has been visited. For a brand whose entire product concept is built around collecting meaningful pieces tied to specific experiences and places, a charm counter positioned at the entrance to one of the most experiential theme park areas in the world is a genuinely logical fit.

Guests who have no plans to visit a full Pandora store during their Walt Disney World trip also benefit from a counter tucked into a retail space they were already walking through rather than requiring a dedicated detour.

The Broader Context at EPCOT Right Now

The Pandora counter opening is one of several changes reshaping the area around the World Showcase entrance this summer. La Poutinerie, a new quick-service dining concept developed in partnership with Air Canada, is preparing to open in the Canada World Showcase Pavilion on July 1, 2026, Canada Day, taking over the space previously occupied by the Refreshment Port.

The Refreshment Port closed in January and was subsequently confirmed as permanently retired. La Poutinerie expands the Canada pavilion's footprint within World Showcase, bringing a poutine-focused menu to a space that previously served a more generic snack and beverage function. Construction crews have been working through June on decorative stonework on the chimney facade, with the building's roof having been repainted in early June and signage still to be installed before the July 1 debut.

The combination of the Pandora counter now open and La Poutinerie arriving in two weeks makes the stretch of EPCOT surrounding the World Showcase entrance one of the more actively evolving areas of the park right now. Guests who last visited earlier in the year are going to notice meaningful differences in this corner of EPCOT by mid-July.

Where to Find It

The Pandora charm counter is open now inside Port of Entry, located at the start of World Showcase near EPCOT's main entrance, during regular park hours. No separate ticket or reservation is required.

For guests who collect Pandora charms and have a World Showcase day on the calendar this summer, Port of Entry is now officially worth more than a passing glance on the way to the first pavilion.
