Thousands of Walt Disney World Resort guests experienced a sudden disruption at Disney's All-Star Music Resort on October 23, when fire alarms blared for three hours. The incident subjected guests in one of the All-Star Resort's 1,604 rooms to distressing sounds that echoed throughout the facility. According to a letter submitted by one of our readers, most Central Florida Disney Park guests were made aware of the situation beforehand.

Prior to the incident, management issued a letter to guests staying at Disney's All-Star Music Resort, informing them about a planned fire alarm test. This communication, provided upon check-in, detailed that the testing would occur between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on October 23, 2024:

Thank you for choosing Disney's All-Star Music Resort. We are excited to share our Disney hospitality with you.
To better assist you in planning your stay, we would like to make you aware of a scheduled fire alarm test. This test will be conducted on October 23, 2024, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. You may experience loud ringing tones during this time.
