Visiting Disney theme parks are almost always a magical experience. However, some people want to do something a little different from your typical theme park vacation. Some people want to go to the beach, maybe travel a little bit. But they still want the Disney experience. For those people, things don’t get better than a Disney cruise. Going on a Disney cruise allows Guests to experience Disney characters like never before, eat delicious food, watch fireworks over the ocean, and, depending on the cruise, spend time on Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

Along with the premium experience of a Disney cruise comes a premium price tag. A Disney cruise is more expensive than your average cruise, and it only gets more expensive as your view and the activities you want to do add up. Some people can afford to do more things on the cruise than others. Some can afford a premium view, while others choose to save and use their money in other ways. No matter how much someone spends on a Disney cruise, they are still having a great time. There are currently five cruise ships in the Disney fleet — the Disney Magic, the Disney Wonder, the Disney Fantasy, the Disney Dream, and the Disney Wish.

However, according to one woman, some people are treating certain Guests on Disney cruises as beneath them.

Twitter user Rachel Williamson (@cinderchellaaa) recently went on a Disney cruise. She joined a Facebook group that was created for Guests traveling on that voyage. Ms. Williamson claims that, after disembarking from the cruise, a “class war” began in the group. She said that some people complained about rude Guests, which started a full-on argument.

There is a full on class war happening in the facebook group for the Disney cruise we just disembarked from. There were a few complaints about rude behavior from other guests and it opened the floodgates to some really awful, judgmental comments

According to Ms. Williamson, those who could afford things like onboard Wi-Fi began insulting those who could not. They also insulted those who saved on their cruise with a Disney+ deal, calling them “carnival class”, possibly referring to Carnival Cruise Line. They also brought up the color of the lanyards people have. Different colors indicate how many Disney cruises the Guest has been on.

Comments about “people who can’t afford the Wi-Fi,” calling the people who were able to afford the cruise because of the Disney+ deal the “carnival class,” complaints about people who chose not to dress up for formal night, judging people based on what color lanyard they have

Other Guests who had taken Disney cruises said that they have experienced the same type of Guests. Some even said that the worst part of their trip was having to deal with American Guests. Ms. Williamson agreed and said that she saw a huge line of Guests waiting at Guest Services on the last night, just so they could yell at crew members. However, as always, Disney crew members were professional and treated the Guests with respect.

If you ever travel on a Disney cruise ship, please know that everything may not be as perfect as you imagined. However, Disney Cast Members will work hard to make sure you have the most magical time while on the high seas.
