Disney Just Made It Harder To Get a Pineapple DOLE Whip at the Magic Kingdom

The original home of the DOLE Whip at Walt Disney World Resort is about to see some major changes. A newly filed construction permit is the first hint that something is changing at Aloha Isle.

On April 15, Walt Disney Imagineering filed a Notice of Commencement with the Orange County Comptroller to “Install Signage” at 4861 Caribbean Way — the address of Aloha Isle, the Quick-Service pineapple soft serve stand in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park. Third-party contractor Kentavo is listed on the filing, a company that has recently been involved in similar signage work at other Walt Disney World Resort locations, including “it's a small world” at Magic Kingdom Park and the Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure theater at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

That Imagineering filed the permit rather than Disney's Facility Asset Management team is worth noting. Facility Management typically handles routine maintenance, leaving the guest experience largely untouched. Imagineering's involvement often signals something more intensive — though in this case, the project could be as straightforward as a branding refresh rather than a significant overhaul of the experience itself.

What Guests Should Expect

Walt Disney World Resort has not announced a closure for Aloha Isle or any changes to its menu, and the stand is expected to remain operational during the project. Guests may encounter temporary construction near the DOLE Whip, but the DOLE Whip should remain accessible.

For those watching the clock, Mobile Ordering through the My Disney Experience app is available at Aloha Isle — a useful option if construction activity slows traffic in the area. The full current menu includes the Tropical Serenade Float ($8.29), the DOLE Whip Pineapple Juice Float ($7.29), DOLE Whip soft serve in pineapple, vanilla, or swirl ($5.99), and Pineapple Upside-Down Cake with soft serve ($7.49).

Aloha Isle, steps from Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, is the original DOLE Whip location at Walt Disney World Resort. Over the last few years, the dairy-free frozen treat has expanded to theme park and hotel restaurants across the Central Florida property.
