At approximately 12:45 a.m. on April 9, Orange County authorities responded to a collision with injuries at the intersection of EPCOT Center Drive and East Buena Vista Drive — just outside the second theme park gate at Walt Disney World Resort. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime logged the call on X (formerly Twitter) shortly after it came in:

The crash triggered an immediate road closure. At least one Disney Park guest in the area reported that the southbound lanes of EPCOT Center Drive had come to a complete standstill in the aftermath. From X user @bananahotcocoa:

Epcot Center Dr Southbound is completely stopped, I was able to pass it bc I was on the on-ramp and could use the shoulder

Walt Disney World Resort did not issue a public statement about the crash, which is consistent with how the Central Florida vacation destination typically handles incidents of this nature. Law enforcement has not released details about those injured. Medical information following vehicle accidents is generally kept private unless a fatality is involved or individuals choose to come forward publicly.
