Disney Limiting TikTokers to “Designated Smoking Areas” of Theme Parks

Disney Park Vloggers

As The Walt Disney Company begins its second 100 years, it seems that those in power have finally figured out how to handle the vloggers, TikTokers, and every other variant of video streamer that comes to Theme Parks and Resorts.

After several months of debate and consultation with inclusion-focused personnel, Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products have made the decision to turn all of the designated smoking sections within its American Theme Parks into “designated streaming sections.”

From now on, verified third-party Disney influencers will only be able to film inside the Parks within the confines of the current and former designated smoking areas of Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. Of course, those Guests who are smokers still need to be tended to, and they will share the space with the social media users. Guests who are either unverified or do not have a minimal number of followers will be allowed to attempt to stream freely but will face no protection from fed-up parents who find the “try-hards” to be ruining their child’s visit to the Most Magical Place On Earth.

Disney Fanatic has received reports that Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro will be making the announcement soon, putting Disneyland and Disney World security officers on high alert to enforce the new rule. While it is still unclear why this new policy will be put in place, people close to the matter suspect that it is in conjunction with Disney’s plan to recruit in-house influencers to tackle official in-Park streaming content.

The measures are expected to go into effect today, April 1, 2023.

Yes, this is a simple April Fool’s Prank, and while we do expect Disney Parks to enact further restrictions on independent vloggers, nothing in this article should be taken seriously.
