Is an Adventures by Disney trip in your future? If so, you may want to hold off until 2023 when Disney’s travel excursion line introduces new Arctic and Antarctic Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruises in 2023!

The new expedition cruises will take Guests to the Earth’s northernmost regions, and there will also be opportunities to sail to both Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands beginning in 2023.

Guests will travel aboard ships that were designed specifically to be able to access these remote destinations safely. Once there, Disney Adventure Guides will work closely with local experts and naturalists to create memorable and educational experiences for the whole family.

Expeditions to the Arctic will take Guests aboard Le Boreal, a PONANT cruise liner. (PONANT is a leader among luxury polar expeditions, and their ships have everything Guests will need onboard to make the most of their experience.)

From Le Boreal, Guests will encounter the unique landscapes and wildlife, along with Longyearbyen, Norway’s largest town in the country’s Svalbard archipelago, and the Earth’s northernmost settlement. The permanent population of just over 1,000 residents keeps the experience intimate and different from many other travel destinations.

While in Longyearbyen, Guest will be able to see the Kongsfjorden fjord and set out for boat excursions where they may come across animals like polar bears, reindeer, arctic foxes and walruses. For an extra special experience, book the July itinerary to be joined by former Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde, and hear stories from his travels while participating in an interactive sketching session.

Arctic excursions have departures in June and July 2023, and are 10-day, nine-night itineraries.

For those hoping to head much further south, Adventures by Disney’s Antarctica and Patagonia expeditions can be the perfect trip! On these excursions, Guests will start in the town of Ushuaia on the southernmost tip of Argentine Patagonia before setting off through the Drake Passage.

From there, Guests will be able to take advantage of boat excursions along local shorelines and take in views of wildlife including a variety of seabirds, penguins, and seals. While onboard the ship, Guests can also take Tango dance classes and a number of unique activities only available on this Adventures by Disney trip. For those hoping to extend their travels, Guests also have the option to add a four-day, three night trip to Buenos Aires.

Antarctica and Patagonia cruises have 12-day, 11-night itineraries and depart beginning in December 2022, and early 2023.

Booking for all of the above trips opens to the public on November 12, 2021, and will be available online at adventuresbydisney.com, by phone at 1-800-543-0865 or by contacting your local travel agent.
