Can't-Miss Restaurants at Walt Disney World Parks

Sci Fi Dine In

9. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater (Hollywood Studios)

Why you’ll love it: Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is set up to look exactly like a drive-in theater, complete with “car” tables, a night sky, and a big screen playing clips from old movies. It’s a blast from the past that’s super fun for people of all ages.

What you should know: The clips being played are from cheesy old horror films. While most people will laugh at these clips, young children might be frightened. Use your best judgement when deciding whether this is a good choice for your family.

10. 50s Prime Time Cafe (Hollywood Studios)

Why you’ll love it: Another great restaurant that transports you back in time, 50s Prime Time Cafe is the perfect place to go if you’ve ever wanted to experience dinnertime in the 1950s. The entire place is decorated to look like a home from the era, and the waitstaff is made up entirely of “cousins”, “aunts”, and other assorted family members, making this a true family affair.

What you should know: Like any relative at home, your waiter will likely call you out if you aren’t using good table manners, so be sure to eat your veggies, keep your elbows off the table, and say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’.

11. Rainforest Cafe (Animal Kingdom)

Why you’ll love it: The Rainforest Cafe allows diners to eat in a jungle environment surrounded by animatronic animals such as elephants and gorillas. “Rain storms” happen every few minutes and bring the entire place to life.

What you should know: This is a noisy restaurant. Those with sensitive ears may want to choose another option.

12. Tusker House (Animal Kingdom)

Why you’ll love it: Tusker House serves many favorite African-inspired foods and offers guests the opportunity to meet Disney friends without the hassle of long queues. Like Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom, this character dining experience is also relatively inexpensive (though not outright cheap).

What you should know: While this restaurant does have some exotic foods, it also does a good job of providing simpler foods for simpler palates. Everything is served buffet-style, meaning you will have to leave your table to fill your plate but you can eat as much as you like.
