15 Rides at Walt Disney World That Are Better at Night
Splash Mountain I enjoy riding Splash Mountain at night for two reasons– the view from the top of the drop and the shorter wait time. It makes sense that many guests (especially in the cooler months) are not interested in getting wet later at night, which works out well if you don’t mind the splash and want to enjoy this attraction with a short wait. The view of the rest of the park lit up a

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Another Frontierland attraction, I enjoy riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at night because of the view. This attraction features a couple of lift hills that in my opinion offer a more spectacular view at night than they do during the day. It is especially fun if you happen to catch the fireworks while onboard this attraction.

The Haunted Mansion I am always surprised when I visit the Haunted Mansion at night to find that the line for this ride is relatively short. I would assume that most guests visit Liberty Square fairly early on in their visit to the Magic Kingdom, however given the theme of The Haunted Mansion, riding this attraction at night just seems to make sense.

15 Rides at Walt Disney World That Are Better at Night
Spaceship Earth You’re probably wondering how Epcot’s icon attraction is any better at night, when the entire experience takes place indoors and seemingly has nothing to do with the time of day. My reasoning for choosing this as an excellent night time attraction is actually quite simple– shorter wait times. Most guests who visit Epcot go to Future World in the morning and World Showcase lat

Expedition Everest Expedition Everest is arguably even more thrilling at night than it is during the day. While the ride itself does not change, something about experiencing the tallest drop in the evening hours is just a bit more exciting. It is also a nice experience to see the view of the other parks and downtown Orlando from the lift hill all lit up at night in the beginning of the attraction.

How to Do The Magic Kingdom in 10 Steps
9) Return to Adventureland. The entire Magic Kingdom seems more invigorating at night, but there is a special ambiance in Adventureland after the sun has gone down–especially if you're going on rides like Pirates of the Caribbean or outdoor rides like Splash Mountain! Once you've gotten some nighttime excitement, slow down with the Liberty Square Riverboat or The Hall of Presidents.  Â

10) See Wishes Nighttime Spectacular and Cinderella's Castle. Now you have just enough time to redo a favorite ride (or two) and grab a funnel cake before the fireworks; then, pick a viewing spot, munch on your snack, and relish the final experience! And before you leave, don't forget to go inside the Castle; you'll get to admire the gorgeous artwork in the main hallway–and avoid the exiting

8) Dine in the park. This meal is one that you should reserve in advance! By eating within the park at Tony's Town Square Restaurant, you won't have to worry about any additional travel time (and the food certainly won't disappoint). Eat slowly and regroup for your night! Â

6) Travel to Tomorrowland. Since you've just eaten, it might be best to avoid roller coasters; instead, go for Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress and the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland. After you've had some sedentary fun, it's time to add some intergalactic excitement with Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and Space Mountain! Next up, Fantasyland. Â

7) Visit Fantasyland. The Magic Kingdom is not only filled with classic rides; it is also chock-full of classic Disney magic, and where better to find that than in Fantasyland? Attractions like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh offer traditional whimsy for everyone, while the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and The Barnstormer offer exhilarating charm. Take your time here, and don't be afraid to shop
