Celebrate the Holidays With New Seasonal Festivities in Disney California Adventure

Disney California Adventure is getting into the spirit of the season with festive celebrations for Christmas/Navidad, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day!

All around the park this winter Guests can expect to find live entertainment, specialty merchandise and new food items at eight themed holiday marketplaces.

For entertainment while visiting Disney California Adventure this holiday season, don’t miss “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” At this festival celebration, Disney characters will join Guests in a vibrant street party entertainment by Mexican folklórico dancers, live music by  Mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, giant mojiganga puppets and even Mickey and Minnie dressed up just for this occasion.

New to Disney California Adventure’s holiday lineup this year are celebrations inspired by “Encanto,” the newest Walt Disney Animation Studios film celebrating Colombian people and culture. Mirabel from the film will be available for sightings with Guests around the park with additional live entertainment and interactive photo ops from the film. “Encanto” is open in theaters everywhere.

Live entertainment will take place on the Pacific Wharf Stage and the Palisades State during this year’s Disney Festival of the Holidays event. This year’s lineup includes a cappella group, The Mistletoes, who will be celebrating Kwanzaa and Christmas and R&B spins on classic holiday songs. Returning entertainment that will be performing alongside The Mistletoes includes Mostly Kosher, Blue13 Dance Company, Mariachi Divas, The Suffragettes, Phat Cat Swinger, and more.

Guests hoping to see their favorite Disney and Pixar characters this holiday season are in luck as “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” brings a group of characters through the center of the park. Mickey and friends will be joined by additional Disney and Pixar characters daily with exciting musical numbers by the Holiday Toy Drummers.

Last but certainly not least, Cars Land is all decorated for the holidays with festive lights and more along Radiator Springs and Route 66. On top of the classic holiday decor, Guests can experience two attractions done up for the season with Luigi’s Joy to the World Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.
