The holidays have officially arrived at the Disneyland Resort and we could not be happier about it! Following Disney’s earlier sneak peek at Mickey and Minnie’s newest holiday outfits coming to the original Disney theme park, we have been anxious awaiting details of the newest festivities arriving just for this time of the year.
Upon entering Disneyland, Guests will head down Main Street U.S.A. where they will be greeted by the park’s beautiful 60-ft.-tall Christmas tree. A special annual tradition at Disneyland, the tree is decked out with about 1,800 individual ornaments plus gorgeous garland and lights.
While on Main Street, do not miss you chance to check out the newest holiday shop to arrive in Disneyland, Plaza Point! Plaza Point is a gorgeous shop “right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A.” with Victorian theming and some of the best Disney holiday decor around. Plus, the store is open year-round so if your next trip to Disneyland does not fall during the holiday season, you’ll still be able to pick out new ornaments and decor.
Disneyland is welcoming back its first parade since the park reopened this holiday season with “A Christmas Fantasy” parade. During the holidays, the park’s parade rout will be filled with original music, favorite Disney characters and all of the classic elements that make Disney Christmas parades truly special including the reindeer, toy soldiers, and gingerbread cookies.
Characters from “Frozen” including Anna, Elsa, and Olaf will also make an appearance. The parade will then cap off with a festive grand finale featuring Santa Claus high atop his sleigh.
For more returning entertainment this holiday season, Guests can take in the “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular. This show features projections, pyrotechnics, and even a little bit of magic “snow.”
Around other areas of the park, Guests can also take in classic seasonal holiday overlays on attractions like the Haunted Mansion Holiday, lighting packages on the facade of “it’s a small world,” and more.
Happy holidays!
