It has been a wonderful couple of months for meeting characters at Walt Disney World, and now there is even more good news coming, especially for fans of Star Wars! Almost one month after the return of traditional character meet and greet experiences to Walt Disney World, Disney has confirmed that fan-favorite character experiences will return to Star Wars: Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Theme park journalist Brooke Geiger McDonald broke the news on Twitter saying, “Disney has confirmed that Star Wars Launch Bay at Walt Disney World WILL reopen and Star Wars character meet-and-greets will resume in the space. ”

Prior to the closing of all four Walt Disney World theme parks at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Star Wars: Launch Bay was home to a number of exhibits on Star Wars, that included closeup looks at props and costumes from the films, as well as a short film with those who have worked on the movies, animated series, and video games, and a number of popular character meet and greets.
