Christmas at Disney World Just Saw a Major Price Increase

If you’re heading to Walt Disney World for the holidays, brace yourself—prices for the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass are going up! Starting December 22, Magic Kingdom visitors will see the pass hit $37 per person, a $2 jump from the previous high. It’s not unexpected since Christmas week is one of the busiest times of the year, but it’s still a little shocking to see the prices creep up again.

The Lightning Lane Multi-Pass lets you skip the line for select attractions, but each park has its own pricing. While Magic Kingdom’s price increase is grabbing attention, other parks are also seeing changes. EPCOT’s pass will go up to $28 on December 7, while Disney’s Animal Kingdom jumps to $25 on December 16. Disney’s Hollywood Studios hasn’t announced an increase yet, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it follows suit.

Now, here’s the kicker—there’s a new pass on the block, and it’s not cheap. Disney’s Premier Pass offers unlimited skip-the-line access to most attractions across all four parks. Yep, that means no more juggling multiple passes if you’re park-hopping. But convenience comes at a cost: during Thanksgiving, this pass hit a jaw-dropping $450 on certain days. For now, Christmas week pricing will stay below that level, but don’t be shocked if it climbs again by New Year’s Eve.

If you’re wondering whether the Premier Pass is worth it, it depends. For families trying to squeeze everything into one or two days, the time saved might justify the price. But for most of us, sticking with the regular Multi-Pass (or just waiting in lines) might be the way to go.

Planning a Disney trip during the holidays is always about trade-offs—time versus money. These new prices just make those decisions a little trickier. Whether you splurge on the Premier Pass or stick to the basics, one thing’s for sure: a holiday visit to Walt Disney World is going to be magical, even with a few price hikes!
