More About Astro Orbiter at Magic Kingdom

Astro Orbiter is a thrilling, space-themed attraction located in the Tomorrowland area of Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World. Perched high above the ground, this ride offers guests an exciting aerial experience as they pilot their own rocket ships around a central, rotating planetarium.

The retro-futuristic design of Astro Orbiter, complete with sleek metallic finishes and colorful planets, evokes the spirit of classic science fiction, immersing guests in the excitement of space exploration.

Riders are lifted 80 feet into the air by an elevator to the loading platform, where they board their rocket-shaped vehicles. Once the ride begins, the rockets spin around the central axis, allowing guests to control the height of their flight using a lever inside their vehicle. This combination of rotation and elevation provides breathtaking views of Tomorrowland and the surrounding areas of Magic Kingdom, particularly enchanting at night when the park is illuminated.
