Daniel Craig’s James Bond Could Return—but Not in a Movie

Daniel Craig’s time as James Bond ended in unexpected tragedy in No Time to Die (2021), the series’ final outing that grossed $774.2 million worldwide and received high praise from audiences and critics. Craig’s 007 went out with an enormous bang, never to return.

But that could be set to change.

While the producers are busy figuring out the franchise’s next move and who will take on the iconic role, rumor has it that there’s a different kind of comeback in the works—one that might put Craig’s Bond back in action, this time from inside a theme park setting.

According to sources, Universal Studios Great Britain, set to open in 2031, is developing a 007 attraction. Though nothing has been announced, the park is expected to build a Bond-themed stunt show—and it’s possible that Craig’s version will shape the design.

And why not? Daniel Craig’s face is the most recognizable for modern audiences, and Universal has a pattern of getting actors to reprise roles for rides, with Jurassic World, which brought back the likes of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard coming to mind.

The upcoming UK resort, located in Bedfordshire, aims to start construction in 2026. Alongside Bond, other rumored areas include Jurassic World and Harry Potter. A James Bond-themed attraction, whether it is indeed a stunt show or something else entirely, like a mission-based ride or a dedicated themed land, feels like the most natural fit.

Bond might be a globe-trotting superspy, but, like Harry Potter, his home is in the UK. And what better way to have Universal Studios Great Britain appeal to domestic parkgoers than with a 007-centric attraction of some kind?

Craig, of course, won’t be returning to the role in film. Eon Productions has made it clear: a new actor is on the horizon, and whatever comes next won’t involve the previous era.
