For the past four months, guests at Disneyland Paris Resort have watched as a popular animatronic character was rendered motionless. The broken animatronic figure, part of the Finding Nemo (2003)-themed Crush’s Coaster at Walt Disney Studios Park, has been still since at least April 2025, with no word from Disney regarding when it will be repaired.
The broken animatronic is one of the seagulls featured in the attraction’s queue. On August 4, 2025, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared a video showing the two seagull animatronics at the ride’s entrance. While one gull functions as expected, squawking “Mine!” on cue, the other remains still, making no movements whatsoever as its audio plays normally.

Guest reports also suggest that the seagull animatronic has been out of order since at least April 2025. User @395823sfsg shared their experience on Twitter, mentioning that the character was already broken when they visited Disneyland Paris Resort earlier this year:

Despite the malfunctioning animatronic, the attraction itself, Crush’s Coaster, continues to operate as usual. Located in the Worlds of Pixar area, this roller coaster takes guests on an exciting ride through scenes inspired by Finding Nemo. Guests can enjoy the thrill of diving deep into the ocean, surrounded by vibrant sea life and even a few dangerous sharks, before being swept up by the East Australian Current and returning to Sydney Harbour.
