Disney Confirmed the Sports Entertainment Phenomenon Is Coming Back Next Month

The Savannah Bananas are officially returning to Disneyland Resort on March 26, 2026, and they're going way bigger than last year by expanding to both theme parks instead of just sticking to Disney California Adventure. If you missed them in 2025 or loved the experience and want more, this is your chance to see “The Greatest Show in Sports” completely take over the resort for one day.

They're Literally All Over Disney This Time

Last year, the Savannah Bananas only appeared at Disney California Adventure, which was cool but kind of limited if you were spending your day at Disneyland instead. This year, they're fixing that by having select players from both the Savannah Bananas and the Indianapolis Clowns appear at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure throughout the day.

The Indianapolis Clowns are one of the newest teams in the Banana Ball Championship League, so this is a big deal for them to be part of the Disney experience alongside the flagship Savannah Bananas team.

What's Happening at Disneyland

At Disneyland, you can catch The Savannah Bananas Cavalcade along the parade route, which means you don't have to camp out at one specific spot all day. You can position yourself anywhere along the route and see the team as they travel through the park.

The big centerpiece moment is a special performance happening right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. That's one of the most iconic locations in any Disney park anywhere in the world, so having the Savannah Bananas perform there is a pretty massive deal. Expect the choreographed dancing, high energy, and entertainment spectacle they're known for, just with Sleeping Beauty Castle as the backdrop for all your photos and videos.

Disney California Adventure Gets Special Treatment

Over at Disney California Adventure, the Savannah Bananas and Indianapolis Clowns are performing at the World of Color viewing area in Paradise Gardens Park. This is a high-energy show with promised surprises and all the audience engagement that makes Banana Ball events feel completely unpredictable and exciting.

Using the World of Color viewing area is smart because it's a huge space that can handle massive crowds and it's already set up with infrastructure for entertainment presentations, so they can really go all out with the performance.

The Banana Food Situation Is Real

Disneyland Resort is celebrating Savannah Bananas Day with banana-themed food and drinks available in both parks. Many items can be enjoyed year-round.

At Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree in Bayou Country, you can get banana pudding with whipped cream and toppings, available for mobile order. At Wine Country Trattoria in California Adventure, there's a banana brûlée tart and a frozen banana mudslide cocktail, but be sure to make reservations as it will be busy.

The Cappuccino Cart in San Fransokyo Square offers banana cold foam for drinks, and outdoor vendors sell chocolate-dipped frozen bananas. Whole bananas are also available at fruit carts throughout the parks.

You Can Win a Whole Trip

There's a sweepstakes running right now through 12 p.m. Eastern Time on February 27, 2026, where you can win a three-night vacation to Disneyland Resort, specifically to experience Savannah Bananas Day on March 26. The prize also includes up to four tickets to the Savannah Bananas versus Indianapolis Clowns game at Angel Stadium on March 27, so you get a two-day Banana Ball experience combining Disney parks and traditional stadium baseball.

What Even Is Banana Ball

If you don't know what Banana Ball is, it's basically baseball reimagined as pure entertainment. The Savannah Bananas and other teams in the Banana Ball Championship League travel around the country playing this unique version of baseball featuring choreographed in-game dancing, epic scoring celebrations, and completely hilarious antics.

The rules are wild. If a fan catches a foul ball, that counts as an out. Players can try to steal first base, which is impossible in regular baseball. Everything is designed to be fast-paced and entertaining instead of following traditional baseball's slower rhythm.

It's Coming to Disney World Too

For the first time ever, Banana Ball is also coming to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort on May 29 and 30, 2026. The Loco Beach Coconuts and Party Animals will face off inside The Stadium. This is bringing the whole Banana Ball experience to the East Coast. Which is great for guests who can't make it to California.

The fact that Disney is bringing them back for a second year and expanding the experience to both parks. This shows that the 2025 event was successful enough to justify a bigger investment. Disney doesn't repeat one-day special events unless they actually work.
