During the recent D23 fan event, Disney dropped some jaw-dropping announcements, including the creation of Villains Land at Magic Kingdom. This dark and thrilling new area will be part of the “Beyond Big Thunder” expansion, bringing two brand-new attractions, themed dining, and villain-inspired shopping.

While construction is set to begin in 2025, the project will take a few years to come to life. Still, Disney is giving fans plenty to look forward to while we wait.

One of the most exciting reveals is a new nighttime show coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Titled Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After, this spectacle will transform Sunset Boulevard into a haven for Disney’s most infamous characters.

Announced during the Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular, the show will debut in summer 2025 and promises appearances by Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, Captain Hook, and other iconic baddies. With live performances and dazzling effects, this is sure to become a fan-favorite addition to the park.

The show will take over the space previously home to Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, which officially closed in October. Disney has already begun renovations, including updates to the theater and new seating, to make this the ultimate stage for its villainous stars. Located near the Tower of Terror, this area is the perfect setting for a nighttime extravaganza dedicated to Disney’s darker side.
