Disney Fans Say Trump Was Right in Meme Targeting Magic Kingdom’s Latest Removal

Disney fans are rallying behind an unexpected voice following all the changes announced to Magic Kingdom.

A video created by @Cynical_Disney has exploded on social media after Disney confirmed the demolition of Tom Sawyer Island, Rivers of America, and other long-standing Magic Kingdom staples. In the clip, a spliced-together President Trump delivers a powerful line in reference to the changes.

Of course, Trump didn’t actually say that about Disney. But fans think he may as well have.

The Emotional Spark Behind the Meme

This isn’t just about a funny video. It dropped mere hours after Disney filed a Notice of Commencement to begin demolition and drainage work in Frontierland. That project will permanently close the island, riverboat, and surrounding structures to pave the way for two massive expansions: Piston Peak National Park, themed after Cars, and Villains Land, which will sit behind Big Thunder Mountain.

The closures begin July 7, and fans are reeling. Many had trips planned to say goodbye to these iconic attractions. With so little notice, a lot of them won’t get the chance.

The meme, as over-the-top as it is, captures a feeling a lot of people couldn’t put into words—until now.

The Trump meme didn’t need context. It didn’t need editing finesse. It just needed the emotional weight of a fanbase watching something it loved get swept away.

Meanwhile… Trump Is Literally Coming Back to Magic Kingdom

While the viral video isn’t real, President Trump is making his return to Magic Kingdom this year. The Hall of Presidents is expected to reopen soon with an updated presentation and Trump’s animatronic front and center—making this whole situation feel even more bizarrely timed.

Magic Kingdom Will Never Look the Same

The removal of the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island isn’t a simple closure. It’s the dismantling of a chunk of Walt Disney World’s history—one that goes all the way back to its early days and carried Walt’s own influence.

Disney fans have long feared this moment. The construction walls will soon go up, the rivers will be drained, and attractions that once offered peace, exploration, and a break from the crowds will be gone for good.

A frequent visitor of Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort, Andrew will likely be found freefalling on Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or enjoying Pirates of the Caribbean. Over at Universal, he'll be taking in the thrills of the Jurassic World Velocicoaster and Revenge of the Mummy
