Disney Is Rewarding Teachers With an Impressive Summer Discount

Teachers get a lot of appreciation in theory and not always a lot of it in practice. Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels just offered something more concrete than appreciation, and the timing aligns perfectly with the one season when most educators actually have the time to use it.

Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels are offering teachers from the United States and Canada up to 25 percent off room rates this summer. The discount is available for bookings made through August 31 for stays completed through September 7, 2026, and it applies across multiple official Walt Disney World Resort hotel properties.

The Hotels and the Savings

Six properties are participating in the educator discount with savings varying by location.

The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando and the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista are offering up to 25 percent off best available room rates. The Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, and Holiday Inn Orlando Disney Springs are each offering up to 20 percent off. Guests booking at the Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa receive waived resort fees rather than a percentage discount, which depending on the length of the stay can represent a comparable or greater saving.

All six are official Walt Disney World Resort hotels. That status is not just a branding distinction. It comes with tangible guest benefits that add real value on top of the room rate savings.

What Official Status Actually Gets Teachers

Guests staying at Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels receive complimentary shuttle transportation to all four Walt Disney World theme parks throughout their stay. No parking fees. No driving. No logistics. Just the shuttle.

They also receive 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry every day, allowing guests to enter any of the four parks thirty minutes before the general public. For a summer visit during Cool Kids Summer programming, that early window matters more than usual. Bluey's Wild World at Animal Kingdom was filling its virtual queue in seconds at 7 a.m. during its opening phase. Being inside the park early helps beat the crowds to these new experiences.

The hotels are within walking distance of Disney Springs which means access to over 90 shops, dozens of restaurants, and live entertainment without any additional transportation. The Passport to Savings program offers additional discounts at select Disney Springs dining and shopping locations for hotel guests and further savings are available at Walt Disney World golf courses.

The Summer Timing

Cool Kids Summer runs through September 8, which lines up almost exactly with the September 7 stay deadline for this offer. Bluey and Bingo at Animal Kingdom, GoofyCore at EPCOT, Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! at Hollywood Studios, and special entertainment at Disney Springs are all still running for teachers who book now and visit before the season ends.

The booking window closes August 31. The stay window closes September 7. The savings go up to 25 percent off at participating properties.

For teachers who have spent the past ten months in a classroom and are finally in a position to take the trip they have been thinking about since last summer, this discount is the offer worth acting on before August ends.
