The Kermit magnet is out today at Hollywood Studios. And if history is any guide, the magent not survive six weeks.

Scarcity is the engine. Disney only releases a handful a year, so each one is a limited keepsake instead of standard merch. Timing helps too. These magnets tend to mark something, a new attraction, an anniversary, or a shift on the property.
This one marks a shift. And after weeks of teasing, it finally landed.
The Magnet
Disney put out a first look, and it leans musical.
Kermit sits front and center, kicked back against a Walt Disney World logo with a big grin, banjo laid across his lap.
“Walt Disney World” runs down the left edge. “Annual Passholder” spells out in bold black letters across the bottom.
The banjo is the whole detail. Kermit's signature instrument across decades of Muppets performances, and it quietly ties the magnet to Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
This explains why this magnet lives at this park. The Muppets took over Sunset Boulevard when the coaster reimagining opened, and Disney has been building Passholder offerings around them ever since.

You show up in person with a valid Annual Pass and a government-issued photo ID. Nobody grabs one for you.
And take “while supplies last” seriously. Magnets tied to big characters routinely disappear well before the posted end date, and Kermit has decades of goodwill stacked behind him. Six weeks reads generous right up until it runs dry in three.

Key lime was a smart call. Gets the green without dumping in food coloring, and it actually holds up in Central Florida in August, which plenty of seasonal items cannot claim.

Disney PhotoPass photographers, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily.
You do not meet Kermit. He gets dropped into the finished image afterward. Magic Shots blew up for exactly that reason, and this version is locked to Passholders only.
Mind the gap in hours. Magnet is all day. Magic Shot is six hours. Want both? Build around the shorter one.
Disney notes that PhotoPass locations and times can change, and all of it is subject to weather and operational adjustments.

Teasing worked. This has been one of the most anticipated magnet drops in a while, largely because it is the first Muppets Passholder magnet ever.

Getting into Hollywood Studios as an Annual Passholder still requires a valid Annual Pass, with a park reservation when required, entry after 2 p.m. on eligible days, or a Good-to-Go day visit, if applicable.
The magnet does not get you through the gate. Sort park access before you plan anything around it.
