As temperatures cool, the park is adjusting its operating hours in January 2025. Disneyland Park will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, with weekend hours extending to 9 p.m.

Meanwhile, Walt Disney Studios Park will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, with later weekend closures at 9 p.m.

Specific dates in January, including January 14 and January 17, will see even earlier closures, at 7 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively, for both parks.

Disneyland Paris has made similar shifts in past years, tailoring winter schedules to manage lighter visitor numbers and more condensed daytime hours. The tweaks aim to enhance operational efficiency while keeping the guest experience a top priority, especially during the off-peak post-holiday period.

While the seasonal schedule is a modest change, the real buzz around Disneyland Paris comes from its major new expansion plans, which will see the resort undergo a €2 billion transformation over the next few years. Here’s what fans can expect:

New Nighttime Spectacular, January 2025
A fresh evening show set to debut on January 10, 2025, will bring dynamic lighting effects to Sleeping Beauty Castle and Main Street, U.S.A. With projections, music, and immersive visual elements, the show aims to capture audiences and reimagine the iconic nighttime experience at the park.

Disney Adventure World Transformation
In 2026, Walt Disney Studios Park will undergo a rebranding to “Disney Adventure World,” marking a new era for the park. This transformation will include the addition of the highly anticipated World of Frozen land, a winter wonderland that brings the icy magic of Arendelle to life. Fans will get the chance to meet Frozen characters like Elsa and Anna and experience a winter-themed landscape.

The Lion King Water Ride
Adding a brand-new twist, a Lion King-themed water ride will also be unveiled in Disney Adventure World in 2026. Set against the sweeping vistas of the African savanna, this ride promises to immerse guests in scenes inspired by the animated classic, offering a blend of thrill and scenery unique to Disneyland Paris.

Cutting-Edge Central Lake Nighttime Show
Also slated for 2026, an all-new nighttime show will light up the resort’s Central Lake in Disney Adventure World. This production is set to leverage innovative effects, including water screens, drones, and synchronized fountains, delivering a large-scale spectacle unlike any other in Disneyland Paris’s history.

Tangled Spin Ride and Marvel Expansion
Adventure World will also feature a new Tangled attraction, inviting guests to swirl through Rapunzel’s lantern-lit world. Meanwhile, Avengers Campus is set to unveil “Doctor Strange: Mystery of the Mystics” this November, with Doctor Strange and the Scarlet Witch facing off against supernatural forces.

This wave of additions will give Disneyland Paris a major facelift, blending popular Disney franchises with original attractions. As these projects come to life, Disneyland Paris is positioning itself as a top-tier destination in Disney’s global portfolio, aiming to attract millions of visitors across Europe and beyond.

Do you think Disney should lower their ticket costs if they are closing early in 2025?
