Disney has announced a new Pixar attraction for Hong Kong Disneyland, marking the park’s 20th anniversary with a special experience that’s sure to delight fans of the beloved animation studio.
Disney’s Pixar influence extends far beyond just one park, with immersive experiences popping up at Disney resorts around the world. At Disney California Adventure, Pixar Pier offers guests a vibrant stroll through iconic films, with rides like the Incredicoaster and the Pixar Pal-A-Round providing high-energy thrills (arguably too many thrills, but that’s a conversation for another time).
Across the Atlantic, Paris’s Walt Disney Studios Park features a unique Pixar-themed area, while in Hong Kong, Toy Story Land draws visitors into the whimsical world inhabited by Woody and Buzz. Shanghai Disney Resort boasts a similar land, complete with a character-filled atmosphere. These attractions are not just limited to rides; they also feature Pixar-themed dining, meet-and-greets, and parades, cementing Pixar’s integral role in Disney’s global empire.
And Disney isn’t slowing down any time soon. Two new Pixar-themed lands are currently under development at Walt Disney World Resort, one based on Monsters, Inc. (2001) and another inspired by Cars (2006). Additionally, a Coco (2017)-themed ride is set to be added to California Adventure in the near future.
According to a new announcement, we also have yet another experience to look forward to at Hong Kong Disneyland.
A New Pixar Entertainment Experience for Hong Kong Disneyland
Today’s announcement of a new Pixar experience at Hong Kong Disneyland further cements Pixar’s influence at Disney parks. As part of the park’s 20th anniversary festivities, Hong Kong Disneyland confirmed that it would be introducing an exclusive Pixar entertainment experience, which will remain a fixture even after the anniversary celebration concludes.
While the park has yet to release full details on the experience, it has shared a map indicating the attraction’s location between Toy Story Land and World of Frozen.

Michael Moriarty, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, teased that this experience will be “first and unique to Hong Kong,” sparking curiosity about what guests can expect from this new offering.
Expanding Marvel and More in Hong Kong Disneyland
The Pixar news isn’t the only exciting update coming to Hong Kong Disneyland. The park also revealed that a new Marvel attraction is in the works. The Stark Expo section of Tomorrowland, which is inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is expanding to include a new Spider-Man ride.
Although details remain sparse, rumors suggest that the ride may be similar to Disney’s Tower of Terror experience.
Additionally, a brand-new parade, titled Friendtastic!, is set to debut at the park. Described as the largest parade in the history of Hong Kong Disneyland, the parade will feature 11 floats, including one inspired by the popular Disney movie Encanto (2021).
As Disney continues to expand its offerings around the globe, Pixar fans can look forward to even more immersive experiences coming to their favorite parks. With the debut of new attractions, parades, and celebrations, it’s clear that Pixar’s influence will only continue to grow within the Disney theme park universe.
