Disney Park’s Newest Land Changing in Late 2026, Resort Confirms

Following several days of weather-related disruptions, Disneyland Paris appears to be moving beyond an unusually difficult stretch while preparing for one of its most anticipated events later this year.

France's severe heatwave placed the resort under significant operational pressure as extreme temperatures prompted the suspension of numerous outdoor attractions for several consecutive days during the country's highest weather warning. The conditions also resulted in reduced outdoor entertainment offerings, temporary closures of select restaurants, and adjustments to the nighttime spectacular, which proceeded without fireworks because of wildfire concerns and official restrictions.

Although operations were impacted, Disneyland Park and the newly expanded Disney Adventure World remained open throughout the heatwave. Guests adapted by spending more time inside attractions, restaurants, and other climate-controlled areas while resort teams adjusted daily operations in response to the weather.

The challenging week arrives during what has otherwise been a landmark year for Disneyland Paris. Earlier in 2026, the resort officially opened Disney Adventure World following an extensive redevelopment of its second park. The expansion introduced Adventure Way, Adventure Bay, and the highly anticipated World of Frozen, giving visitors a completely new destination and setting the stage for future growth.

With summer still underway, Disneyland Paris has already begun building excitement for its next major seasonal celebration. The resort recently revealed that World of Frozen will become part of Disney Enchanted Christmas for the first time, allowing guests to explore a holiday-themed Arendelle alongside returning festive entertainment throughout the destination.

The announcement was shared through Disneyland Paris' official social media channels, confirming that the newest land in Disney Adventure World will participate in this year's celebration.

“It’s 6 months until Christmas! 🎄🎁 And this year, World of Frozen will join in the Disney Enchanted Christmas festivities from 7th November at @disneylandparis! ❄️⛄️”

Disney Enchanted Christmas traditionally transforms Disneyland Park with festive decorations, live entertainment, holiday-themed character appearances, and seasonal experiences throughout the park.

Guests visiting during the event can expect Christmas parades, themed merchandise, festive food offerings, and special character encounters, with holiday décor extending from Main Street, U.S.A. to Sleeping Beauty Castle. The addition of World of Frozen at Disney Adventure World gives this year's celebration an entirely new setting for visitors to enjoy.

Disney Enchanted Christmas will run from November 7, 2026, through January 6, 2027, continuing its place as one of Disneyland Paris' hallmark seasonal offerings by bringing together festive traditions and Disney storytelling across the resort.

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
