Disneyland is known for being a classic Disney location filled with Disney magic — but sometimes that “Disney magic” comes in unexpected forms, as one Disneybounding duo discovered the hard way!
While visiting Disneyland Resort in California — and being clad in Disneybounding costumes that convincingly represented Peter Pan and Wendy — two Disneyland Guests were in for a watery surprise. The duo were posing for a video with their phone camera and unwisely chose to prop one of their phones on the edge of a Disneyland well.
Needless to say, that phone was in for a particularly well-hydrated demise! The phone promptly fell into the well, but (thanks to either a very waterproof phone case or an extra hefty dose of Disney magic) it survived the watery plunge and continued filming.
This well happened to be the Wishing Well belonging to Snow White, located in Disneyland’s Snow White Grotto — and perhaps some of that Disney princess magic is what saved the day!
The phone’s survival, however, is not the big surprise. The big surprise was, instead, the footage! Take a look at the longer-than-expected video in the TikTok video from the couple, shown below, to see who else makes an appearance!
@toodarling I realize it was dumb to prop my phone on there but we all make mistakes. Please don’t do this on purpose. Cast members deal with enough 😅 Before you ask! Adults can wear costumes to Disney’s special ticketed events, we were there for Princess Night 💕 #disneyland #princessnite #peterpan #snowwhite #thatmademecry
The TikTok user and phone owner (@toodarling) first headed off in search of a Cast Member who could fish out the phone, but in the meantime, many other Disneyland Guests showed up and said hi!
The fact that the pair of Guests were dressed very convincingly as Peter Pan and Wendy was what first drew other Guests to them, but when news of the fallen phone spread, more and more people appeared to make an appearance in the comically-upside-down video that came from the perspective of the Wishing Well.
Eventually, the cell phone was indeed fished out by a “kind person,” but not before these two Disneyland Guests had bonded with several other Disney-loving strangers! In a situation like this, it seems likely that comical or sweet footage would arise even if the incident did not take place in a Disney Park.
With the amount of bad news that has been circulating lately, including in relation to the Walt Disney Company, we can all use some happy little moments between strangers — just like this one, courtesy of Snow White!
