Guests exploring Hollywood Studios lately may have noticed something missing along Sunset Boulevard.
While construction around Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been getting most of the attention, another small change has quietly taken place nearby. One of the park’s quick snack locations has stopped serving guests.

KRNR The Rock Station, a small stand located near the coaster entrance, has closed its windows as construction continues in the area.
The closure may seem minor, but it removes another convenient snack stop from a section of the park that already sees heavy foot traffic.
A Changing Corner of the Park
Sunset Boulevard has always been one of the busiest areas inside Hollywood Studios. The street leads guests toward two major thrill rides and several shows, making it a constant flow of visitors throughout the day.
Because of that, smaller snack stands like KRNR often play an important role. They give guests a quick option for food without needing to wait in line at a full restaurant.

Now that the stand has closed, that quick option is gone — at least for the time being.
Visitors heading toward the thrill rides may notice the shuttered windows where the stand once served snacks and drinks.
The Coaster Retheme Driving the Changes
The timing of the closure likely isn’t a coincidence.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is currently undergoing a major transformation. After years featuring Aerosmith, Disney is retheming the attraction to focus on The Muppets and their chaotic rock band, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.
Work began months ago when the ride’s pre-show closed in late 2025. The attraction itself shut down on March 2 so the larger transformation could begin.

Since then, progress around the ride entrance has been easy to spot.
Guests have already seen new paint applied to the vehicle display outside the building, slowly converting it into the Electric Mayhem van. Scrims have also been installed around the giant guitar structure while Disney removes old signage tied to the Aerosmith theme.
The goal is to reopen the ride this summer with an entirely new story and updated visuals.
More Changes Could Be Ahead
When Disney rethemes a major attraction, the surrounding space often changes as well.
That’s why many fans believe KRNR The Rock Station may eventually return with new theming tied to the Muppets storyline.
The stand’s rock-and-roll concept already fit the original ride theme, so a refreshed version could easily be adapted to match the Electric Mayhem band.

For now, though, the stand remains closed, leaving guests with one less quick snack option in Hollywood Studios.
With construction still underway, it’s possible this corner of Sunset Boulevard will continue to evolve in the months leading up to the coaster’s reopening.
Whether the snack stand returns or is replaced entirely, the changes happening around Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster show that Disney isn’t just updating the ride itself — the entire area may be getting a refresh.
