Disney Releases New “Magic Key” Information

California residents most likely find traveling to Disneyland more accessible than Walt Disney World–and it’s about to get even more so for them, with the upcoming release of Disney’s new Magic Key program for Disneyland locations. The Dream, Believe, Enchant, and Imagine Keys are four different Magic Key Passes for frequent Disneyland Guests, with the Imagine Key being the lowest or least expensive tier and the Dream Key being the highest or most expensive. Each Key includes online-reservation-based admission to one or both theme parks for either all or select days of the year, depending on the tier you choose. They also include discounts on merchandise and food, so you can enjoy the magic of a good deal!

The Imagine Key (with an appropriately Disney-fied name) is the cheapest of the four Keys, costing $399. However, it’s only available to Southern California Residents who live in zip codes 90000 to 93599. As the lowest-level plan, it only includes admission on select days of the year, and you can only have two park reservations at a time. You do get 10% discounts off of select merchandise and dining, however (and as we all know, dining at Disney can add up!).

The Enchant Key is $649, and includes all of the same features as the Imagine Key with the addition of two more theme park reservations. Neither of these Keys involves any parking, which brings us to the Believe Key. This Key features six days of reservations as the maximum that you can have at one time, as well as the opportunity to reserve “most” days instead of just “select” ones, and adds on a 50% percent discount to standard parking (with some restrictions) to the other two previously-mentioned discounts.

The Dream Key is the most expensive offering, and costs $1399. With that extra cost comes six days of park reservations, the chance to reserve every day of the year instead of just “most”, complimentary parking, a 20% discount on select merchandise, and a 15% discount on select dining!

As with any membership or pass-holder offer, there are certain restrictions and exceptions that may apply, but the benefits might outweigh those restrictions for some Disney Guests, and the scaled pricing will come in handy for those on a budget. These Magic Keys will be available August 25th, but Disney does not suggest that they will sell out, so you should be able to buy them later than that date! Does this Magic Key sound like an offer for you? Will you be lining up (online) to become a passholder after the 25th?
