Disney To-Do List: The Top 20 Things You Must Do Before You Go on Your Disney World Vacation

4. Buy Disney gift cards.

This is especially important if you won’t be using a Magicband during your trip. Guests can link a credit or debit card to their Magicbands and make purchases in the parks with no need for carrying cash or credit cards with them. If you don’t have a Magicband, you can eliminate the need for carrying cash and cards in the parks as well if you purchase Disney gift cards. Load them with any amount you choose. Visit www.disneygiftcards.com to choose from pages of different cards. Or you can visit the Disney Store nearest you. Keep your receipts, and if your gift cards are ever lost, Disney will replace the lost cards and reload them with the amount you had on them at the time they were lost. They will cancel your lost cards so no one else can use them.

I am a writer and a Mom to four children and two baby shih-tzus. My first experience with the Magic was in 1988, when my parents surprised my brother and me with a visit to Walt Disney World after a short trip to see friends in Georgia. I still hum the tune played during the Main Street Electrical Parade and remember the feeling of excitement from my very first visit. I introduced my husband to the Magic several years ago, and we take our children to the parks every time we can. No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World, it seems it’s not enough! The ever-changing experience only gets better with each trip, and I’m thrilled to share the Magic with others, as well as some of the tips and tricks to getting the most out of the Magic with each visit!
