Disney Very Merriest After Hours Event is Now Sold Out for Remaining Dates

One of the most popular events this holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort has been the “Disney Very Merriest After Hours” event at the Magic Kingdom, which effectively replaced Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for this year’s season.

Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours is more comparable to a Disney Vacation Club event or pre-pandemic After Hours event offered to Guests for an additional fee. These events take place later in the evening after the park’s regular hours conclude for the day and promise exclusive entertainment and characters, a selection of complimentary snacks and drinks, plus a very limited capacity meaning short wait times for favorite attractions.

For Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours, the event specifically includes the return of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade with loads of Disney characters all dressed for the holidays and even an appearance by Santa Claus, plus Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show which lights up the sky over the Magic Kingdom with favorite musical Christmas songs.

Additional offerings at Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours include the Club Tinsel Dance Party where Guests can dance and interact (from a distance) with favorite classic characters as well as select beverages, novelty ice creams (think Mickey Premium Bars!), popcorn, and seasonal treats.

This year’s event runs select dates November 8-December 21, 2021, with all dates being completely sold out as of this morning. Pricing for the event was more on par with typical After Hours events rather than Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, ranging from $169 to $249 depending on the date. While some fans expressed frustrations with the higher price point, the event did eventually sell out for the season, leading us to question what the Magic Kingdom’s holiday events will look like in 2022.

In the event that additional tickets do become available for this year’s event, Disney will share availability on their official website here. Otherwise, we will be back next fall with details about 2022’s holiday events at the Magic Kingdom!
