Peter Pan's Flight has returned to operation at Magic Kingdom following an unscheduled closure that stretched from Monday, September 21, into the afternoon of Tuesday, September 22.

The Fantasyland attraction went down during Monday's operating day and did not return before the park closed. No refurbishment had been scheduled for the ride, and Disney did not issue a public explanation for the downtime or offer an estimated reopening time.
When Magic Kingdom opened Tuesday morning, the attraction remained offline. It stayed closed through the morning and was still unavailable as of approximately 1:40 p.m. At approximately 3:15 p.m., Peter Pan's Flight resumed operation. According to Queue Times, standby waits quickly climbed to 35 to 40 minutes as guests returned to the queue.
Temporary Activity Appears Outside the Attraction
During the extended closure, a temporary hopscotch activity was set up near the entrance to Peter Pan's Flight. The setup did not serve as a substitute for the ride, but it gave children and families passing through Fantasyland something to engage with while the attraction remained unavailable. Disney has used similar small-scale diversions during previous unexpected closures at its attractions.

Peter Pan's Flight is an opening-day attraction, operating at Magic Kingdom since the park debuted in 1971. Riders board suspended pirate ships that carry them over nighttime London and into Never Land, passing scenes and characters drawn from Disney's 1953 animated feature.
The ride's comparatively low hourly capacity, paired with consistently high demand, makes it one of the park's longest standby waits on a regular basis. Any downtime tends to push guests toward nearby Fantasyland attractions and can shift wait times across the land.
