Disney World guests planning a relaxing resort vacation may have to deal with construction for a little longer than expected.
While Disney regularly updates its hotels to keep them looking their best, those improvements can sometimes interfere with the experiences families are paying to enjoy.

Now, Disney has confirmed several additional refurbishment projects at one of its popular Deluxe Resorts, with construction scheduled to continue into 2028.
The upcoming work will affect guest rooms and a popular swimming pool, potentially creating inconveniences for visitors over the next two years.
Disney's Wilderness Lodge Prepares for Additional Refurbishments
Disney's Wilderness Lodge has been undergoing exterior improvements since August 5, 2024.
The resort, known for its rustic architecture and peaceful surroundings near Magic Kingdom, has remained open throughout the project.
However, guests have been warned that they could encounter construction activity, including obstructed views and noise during daytime hours.
According to BlogMickey, Disney expects the exterior refurbishment to finish in late 2026.

Unfortunately, that doesn't mean construction at Wilderness Lodge is coming to an end.
Disney has confirmed that guest rooms will undergo refurbishment from July through September 2027.
Although the company hasn't revealed exactly what improvements are planned, the project will bring another round of construction to the property.
The upcoming work follows a separate refurbishment of Copper Creek Villas & Cabins, which took place between May and September 2025.
For families considering a Wilderness Lodge vacation next summer, the timing of the latest project could be worth keeping in mind.
Disney World Pool Refurbishment Scheduled for 2028
Another major project will begin shortly after the guest room improvements are completed.
Disney has announced that Copper Creek Springs Pool will undergo refurbishment from January through spring 2028.
The popular swimming area serves as the resort's main pool and features a waterslide.
For many families, spending time at the pool is an important part of their Disney World vacation, especially when they want a break from the crowded theme parks.

Unfortunately, guests visiting during the refurbishment won't be able to enjoy Copper Creek Springs Pool.
However, Disney's Wilderness Lodge does have another swimming option.
Boulder Ridge Cove Pool will remain available, giving visitors somewhere to relax while the main pool receives its updates.
Disney hasn't announced an exact reopening date for Copper Creek Springs Pool.
What Guests Should Know Before Booking
With construction projects extending into 2028, families planning a Wilderness Lodge vacation should pay attention to the resort's refurbishment schedule.
Although these improvements are intended to maintain the property's appearance and amenities, they could affect the experience guests receive during their stay.
Visitors hoping to enjoy the resort's peaceful atmosphere may want to consider how ongoing construction could affect their plans.

And for families booking a vacation specifically to enjoy the swimming pools, the early 2028 closure could be especially disappointing.
For now, Disney's Wilderness Lodge remains open, and guests can continue enjoying its accommodations and other amenities.
However, anyone planning to visit over the next two years should check for construction updates before arriving.
