It was on the website. Then it wasn't. And if you blinked between roughly late morning and 2:20 PM today, you missed the whole thing.

Walt Disney World's Airport Luggage Transfer service briefly listed Delta Air Lines as a participating carrier on its official website today before pulling the update and confirming that Delta was added in error. The listing was real. The program update was not. As of this afternoon, Delta is not a supported airline, and the page has been corrected to reflect that.
For the many Walt Disney World guests who fly Delta through Orlando International Airport, today was a false alarm. But the story behind it is worth understanding, because the service itself is one of the better vacation logistics tools Disney has built in recent years, and it is still actively growing.
What Got Posted, and What Got Pulled

Disney's Airport Luggage Transfer page updated this morning to show Delta Air Lines alongside the three airlines already participating in the program: American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. That would have been a significant addition. Delta operates a major presence at MCO and is among the most frequently used carriers by Walt Disney World visitors.
At 2:20 PM, Disney corrected the page. A spokesperson confirmed that Delta Air Lines was added to the website in error earlier today and is not currently supported. The current listing on the Walt Disney World website carries a note that reads: “Additional airlines could be added soon. Please check back for the most up-to-date information.”
That language has appeared before as the program expanded. It does not confirm Delta is next. It does suggest the program is not done growing.
What the Airport Luggage Transfer Service Actually Does

Guests on eligible itineraries can have their checked bags transferred directly between Orlando International Airport and their participating Disney Resort hotel, in both directions. On the way in, you drop your bags with your airline as normal, skip baggage claim at MCO entirely, and head straight to Walt Disney World. Your bags are delivered to your hotel and available through Luggage Assistance. On the way out, you drop your bags at the resort before you leave for the airport, skip the airline check-in counter, and pick up your luggage at baggage claim when you land at your final destination.
The whole experience of moving suitcases through an airport and a resort lobby collapses down to two drop-offs: one at the airline counter on the way there, one at Luggage Assistance on the way home.
The Details That Matter for Planning
For arrivals, registration opens 30 days before your flight and closes 24 hours before departure. You need your Disney Resort confirmation number and your flight confirmation number to complete the form. A confirmation email follows, which includes a tracking link for your bags. Guests who register more than seven days out receive luggage tags by mail. Those who register within seven days do not receive tags but are still covered by the service. After checking in online and dropping bags with the airline as usual, head to Walt Disney World and skip baggage claim. Bags are available through Luggage Assistance at your hotel and can take up to four hours from the flight's arrival to be delivered.
For departures, online check-in with your airline starts 24 hours before your flight. Baggage fees are handled through the airline's own app or website. Bags are dropped at Luggage Assistance in the resort lobby between 24 hours and four hours before your flight, and a valid government-issued photo ID is required at drop-off. Luggage Assistance is staffed around the clock. Tracking for outbound bags is handled through the airline's app rather than the arrival tracking link. From there, head to the airport, bypass the check-in line, and collect bags at your destination.
One planning detail worth flagging: guests staying at Moderate or Deluxe Resorts can transfer to a Value Resort for their final night to access the service. It is an option that does not come up often in planning conversations but is genuinely useful for guests who want the departure-day benefit without being booked at a Value property for the full trip.
The Five Hotels Where It Is Available
The service is offered at Disney's five Value Resort hotels: Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, Disney's All-Star Music Resort, Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and Disney's Pop Century Resort.
How the Program Got Here

The Airport Luggage Transfer service launched as a limited pilot at Pop Century in late March 2025, covering Southwest Airlines departures only. By April 2025, Disney had expanded it to all five Value Resorts and given it an official name. Southwest arrivals were added in November 2025, completing the round-trip option for the first time. American Airlines and United Airlines joined in May 2026. Delta appeared briefly on the page today before being removed.
The arc of that timeline tells you something about where this program is heading. It has expanded consistently since launch, adding resorts, adding arrival service, adding airlines. The website note about additional carriers being added soon is the same language that preceded earlier expansions.
What This Means If You Have a Trip Coming Up
If you are flying American, Southwest, or United into MCO and staying at a Value Resort, the service is available for your trip right now. It is worth registering for, particularly if you have young kids and the idea of skipping baggage claim on arrival sounds as good as it actually is in practice.
If you are flying Delta, today's update was not the announcement it appeared to be. The program may eventually support Delta, and Disney's own language suggests more airlines are being evaluated. Checking the Walt Disney World website closer to your travel date is the most reliable way to know whether your carrier has been added.
