The pumpkins aren't going anywhere just yet, but Walt Disney World guests may already need to start thinking seriously about Christmas.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has reached a major milestone for 2026. All remaining party dates are sold out, meaning guests who don't already have tickets have essentially missed their chance to attend this year.
Now another potentially busy ticket period is approaching.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights are next on Disney World's seasonal calendar, and neither event has sold out any dates yet.
The question is how much longer that lasts.
Disney Fans Are Turning Toward Christmas
Disney World finds itself in an unusual seasonal crossover period every September.
Magic Kingdom is still covered in Halloween decorations, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party continues through October 31.
From a ticket-buying perspective, though, Halloween is finished.
The remaining Not-So-Scary dates disappeared quickly. Only three nights remained available as of September 12 before those final tickets were eventually claimed.
That leaves Christmas as the next major event for guests planning their vacations.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party begins November 8 and runs on select evenings through December 22.
There are 25 dates scheduled, including several around Thanksgiving and numerous parties throughout December.
Right now, guests still have choices.
That Flexibility May Not Last
It's important to make one distinction: Disney hasn't announced that a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party date is about to sell out.
However, seasonal event tickets typically become a bigger concern as the event approaches, especially for guests who can only attend on one particular night.
That's why the coming weeks should be interesting.
Guests planning a short vacation might have only one party night that works with their schedule. Once that date sells out, simply choosing another evening may not be possible without rearranging the entire trip.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs from 7 p.m. until midnight, although ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m.
The event brings back Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, holiday treats, and seasonal entertainment.
Meanwhile, Disney Jollywood Nights gives guests another Christmas event over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Holiday Countdown Is Getting Real
Christmas may feel distant while Magic Kingdom is still celebrating Halloween, but November isn't that far away.
Once Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ends, Disney traditionally moves quickly into its Christmas transformation.
For guests, however, the important transition may already be happening.
Halloween party tickets are gone. Christmas party tickets remain available.
If 2026 follows the familiar pattern of popular dates disappearing as the holidays approach, guests could soon start seeing that availability change.
For now, Disney World visitors still have something Halloween party shoppers no longer have: plenty of Christmas dates to choose from.
