Guests Demand Refund After Disney World Hotel Room Invasion

A magical stay at Walt Disney World Resort turned into a nightmarish experience for one family when an inebriated stranger allegedly attempted to break into their Disney Resort hotel room. The incident, which took place at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, has sparked concerns about guest safety and security protocols at one of the most popular family vacation destinations in the world.

A Frightening Encounter at Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Disney’s Pop Century Resort, a Value Resort known for its colorful theming and proximity to the Disney Skyliner, became the backdrop for an unsettling encounter for one family. A Reddit user, u/jrtasoli, shared their experience in response to a thread about issues at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. According to the guest, an intoxicated individual tried to break into their hotel room, but their concerns escalated due to an alleged lack of response from Disney’s security team.

The lack of immediate action was not the only source of frustration. The guest reported that attempts to address the issue with Walt Disney World Resort management the following day were met with indifference.

“Next day I tried to talk to the manager but they blew me off (possibly because of my age, I was in my early 20s then),” the guest said. “Eventually I called and emailed and got a refund + future stay. Took a lot of persistence to break through the runaround.”
