In a startling incident at Walt Disney World Resort, a young child was discovered alone, attempting to enter one of the theme parks without adult supervision. The situation unfolded when a vigilant Disney cast member noticed the child’s age as she tried to use her theme park ticket. The Disney cast member acted quickly, intervening to ensure the child’s safety and prevent her from entering the theme park unattended.

TikToker and former Disney cast member Kelsey Conkling (@disneywithkels) was the one to discover the child, who was eleven at the time. The girl was immediately disappointed that Conkling wouldn’t let her into the theme park.

When Conkling asked the young girl how old she was, the girl replied that she didn’t have to answer “personal” questions. However, she eventually admitted her age.

The Disney cast member informed the girl that she couldn’t enter the Disney park alone–Walt Disney World Resort mandates that guests under 14 are accompanied by a guest over 14 at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

The girl tried to force Conkling to let her in: “My mom said it was fine, and I don’t think you want to mess with her.”

“Well, I still can’t let you in,” the Disney cast member replied. “Do you want to go call your mom?”

The young guest called her mom, who appeared at her side a few minutes later. She accused Conkling of “harassing” and being “so mean” to her daughter.

The Disney cast member reiterated Walt Disney World Resort‘s minimum age requirement. The guests complied, but not before the girl’s mother threatened to call a lawyer.

As expected, nothing came of this incident. As a private entity, Walt Disney World Resort can legally enforce minimum age and supervision requirements at its theme parks.

  1. Long as there no teen at the of that age they shouldn’t be allowed she wasn’t wrong she did a good job

  2. No children should not be allowed to be in the park without an adult. Anything can happen then it’s not mom and dads problem because they weren’t there. Children do all kinds things they shouldn’t when their parents not there, kid comes up with a lie and mom and dad come fighting with everyone, when it’s their own fault.

Disney is correct in in setting age limits. Kids get themselves into all sorts of trouble and parents love to use places like Disney as a babysitter. Its tough now days dealing with the public because they think they can bully workers with threats and get whatever they want and then claim that the employee was rude to them. Parents need to stop allowing their kids to do anything they want and start disciplining them and teaching them respect.

  4. WHAT? The “KAREN” mom got upset with someone who was being more concerned with the welfare of her child than she was? She should be ashamed of herself. And, with the way that child talked to the cast member, it appears that she is raising another “KAREN “. Disgusting

Mom thinks her lawyer can successfully take on whatever lawyers Disney can afford? Kid needs to go to CPS because mom is insane.

  6. Is a former security cast member the very first priority is the safety and well-being of all guests and cast members. That college program cast member did exactly what she should have done. When the mother came up to her and started giving her a problem as well, then the cast member could easily have asked for security for assistance. If the mother wishes to contact an attorney, feel free. There’s a reason why attorneys in the Orlando area want nothing to do with civil cases against Disney.

  7. Why WHY WHY, my kids were shock when i let them go alone to Disney springs alone and they were 15 and 18 at the time. Simply follow the rules, enjoy family time together and have a great vacation

  8. Understandable to not want under 14 wandering alone, but why does adult pricing start at age 10 then?

  9. Kids under 18 shouldn’t be allowed with out a parent. There are to much bad happening now a days.

  10. I can’t understand why a parent would feel it’s okay to allow a child to be alone at a place where there are so many strangers. It’s not safe for her, or for others since young teens notoriously make poor decisions. It should be allowed to have “guests” removed or banned for such behavior as the parent displayed.

  11. The “Cast” was correct!! when the parent started arguing and threatening with lawyers Boom! Ejection Time!!!

  12. Could the parents hold the Disneyland Resort liable for anything that might have happened to the “unsupervised”CHILD?…OR, Could the parents been charged with CHILD NEGLECT for allowing the CHILD to wander around unsupervised??? They really should be grateful for the 1st class training the Associates received while working at in Disneyland.

  13. Only ok if you are alright with something bad happening to your child. Your the parent, be responsible.

  14. An eleven year old child is FAR too young to go to Disneyworld alone. There are pedophiles out there and all sorts of things could have happened to that child That mother should be charged with neglect and child endangerment b.

  15. Hello, child protective services? Yes, I have a Karen who is training her brat child to be wild and carefree while disregarding the child’s personal well-being.
