Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade typically showcases a vibrant array of characters, music, and floats, captivating audiences of all ages. However, on this particular day, chaos erupted when an unexpected problem led to the abrupt cessation of the festivities.

TikTok user @nikoolynn shared a video of Belle and Beast evacuating the opening float on Main Street, U.S.A. Rain reportedly stopped the float shortly after it passed Cinderella Castle.

Walt Disney World Resort guests were initially puzzled, unsure of what had transpired. Entertainment technicians and managers flooded in to assist the characters. At one point, Beast lost his tail, signaling a character emergency. Belle sprung into action, holding the tail and covering it from guest view as attendants helped reattach it.

After the Beast safely descended, Belle slid down the side of the float. In the process, she lost her gloves, likely because they were too slippery to grasp the sides of the float as she descended safely.

Despite multiple issues, Belle and Beast protected the magic by staying in character. They continued waving at guests as they walked down Main Street, U.S.A.

It’s unclear if the Walt Disney World parade float required towing, but characters were likely evacuated from the subsequent floats after Belle and Beast.

Disney Parks fans were impressed by the cast members’ handling of the unfortunate situation.

“Assuming the parade kicked off before the rain, otherwise they wouldn’t be out there.,” said @mania1516. “Also, can we talk about how gracefully Belle sat down to get off the float?”

“Aw man, sucks to have to get off while on stage!” @akdirossi replied. “I’m surprised they sent the parade out.”
